Najeti Hotel de la Poste

This is our 4th trip over the past 20 years, we extended our stay from 3 to 4 days. We brought our son and his wife they loved it and plan to return. This is the perfect Hotel for the experience of Burgundy shopping in the old town of Beaune for Americans. The staff bent over backwards to be accommodating especially Rabab Allaf at the front desk.

What could have been better? My French for sure

All staffs went beyond and above their duties, they were so kind and very supportive. When we had fuel injection problem with Hertz car and it didn't work on the autoroute,.... we arrived to the hotel at midnight and tired. Next morning we talked to Jean Baptist at the front desk about it, he made several calls for us for the whole day(Hertz and Its insurance put us on hold for long times). He was persistent to get an answer for us from Hertz, someone finally responded to his calls by saying a taxi to come pick us to near Hertz car rental office for another car. But nobody came on that day as promised, we had to call our next hotel (8:30PM)for cancelling our night and to stay at this hotel another night. Other staffs made a room available for us at the last moment. Each one of them helped us as much they could in their capacity. A couple of days late, Jean Baptist followed up with Hertz for my case and provided me some information to proceed it. We were very impressive with Jean Baptiste for his persistence, customer service advocating and helpfulness. From my experience, this hotel and staffs provide excellence and quality services for customers. I hope that the hotel management recognize Jean-Baptist for his outstanding performance of customer services.

Nothing disliked

Great location with secure, covered parking. Lovely shady terrace for food and drink. Staff were excellent. Big bathroom, fluffy towels and gorgeous soap / body lotion / shower gel - wanted to take it home with me.

Our double room was small and a little tired looking. The facilities provided in the room are limited - no fridge or tea/coffee making facilities. However we requested a kettle and cups and they were provided with no problem. We heard other English guests requesting the same. Staff also put some items in their fridge. For a 4* hotel, I would however expect these things to be provided as standard.

Perfect location - just a few minutes walk to the center of Beaune and very good indoor secured parking (limited number of parking places, so probably a good idea to reserve up front). Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful lobby and a very spaceous and quiet room with a super comfy beed. The breakfast was good with baquettes, croissants, pain au chocolat, etc. - and what else do you really need? Just one thing actually - a good cup of coffee! Next time we visit we will cross our fingers that the hotel will be able to serve a good french espresso and cafe au lait for our breakfast😋 Our dog was welcomed and the surroundings were very good for a walk.

The location is just at the border of the city center, very useful to avoid using the car. Many restaurants are in the area and it is easy to use the hotel as the starting point to visit the vineyards of Borgogne

Breakfast is quite expensive if you are not used to eat a lot The room is really very small, with a problem to find space for opening two luggage 14 euros for parking, given the fact that in the area there are many other public parking slots

Everything went well. The gentleman at check-in was more than helpful. The location was perfect and we were lucky that we were able to park overnight right in front of the hotel with no charge!!! The breakfast was delicious and the room it was served in was gorgeous. A hotel with character!!

Perhaps the lift from the reception area to our room somehow could have been a bit bigger but can appreciate this could be difficult to change.

Beautiful room, facing the hills and showing a beautiful little vignette of the surrounding countryside. Nicely appointed, generous bathroom; generous and well provisioned breakfast with beautiful produce ; Right in the heart of the town near parks, restaurants and supermarket.

The room needs some new pillows and is a little faded. But the hotel is a really lovely and well appointed establishment.

Location excellent. Very flexible friendly staff. Helped book all nightly dinner reservations. Our room was very big, quiet and comfy bed.

The staff and manager is aware of the breakfast situation. They are trying ways to schedule the buffet breakfast better. They only serve ‘French Style’ scrambled eggs, which very few visitors like and do not offer cook to order eggs, or do it your self soft boiled eggs or hard boiled eggs. The fresh fruit was served uncut, in whole pieces not peeled or sliced. For the price they are charging you can get a much better breakfast, less than 5 minutes walking distance, in town for 10 euro. ( that includes fresh squeezed, on the spot, orange juice. We have stayed in 5 hotels on our 4 week visit to Europe and this breakfast was sub par, they can do better.

The staff was very helpful with directions; and meeting our needs in Beaune. Rabab was very helpful finding us a good place to eat dinner on a very busy night. Parking was easy.

Our room had the toilet room on one side of the room, and the lav and shower on the other side; it was a little odd for us.

So convenient on the road to the south of France. Very comfortable overnight. Excellent breakfast and covered garage spaces. Very helpful staff. A short walk to the famous hospice. Wine.

Sadly, the restaurant was full with a tour group. So don’t know what the food tastes like. Plenty of places to eat a short walk away in the town.
