The Originals Boutique, Hôtel Le George , Loches

This hotel is situated in a lovely position by the river. We had a room overlooking the river which was really nice. We used the Restaurant on the first night, which was excellent. The Hotel is within easy reach of the town where there are lots of restaurants shops etc. As the hotel restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings, the receptionist recommended some restaurants that were open, which was very helpful. We hope to stay here again soon. Highly recommended.

Clean and comfortable with a modern twist, while retaining the original stone and beams and the stone spiral staircase. comfortable bed and modern both room en suite. Excellent breakfast served as a buffet but wit table service for coffee and hot chocolate. Tables in the terrace area overlooking the river. great location and free parking nearby. staff were pleasant and worked very hard.

The Dinner I. the restaurant was very disappointing. the service fell apart a bit and while the Menu sounded really appetizing, the execution was mediocre and presentation old-fashioned. I think folk ordering burgers etc around me fared better.

Good location room clean and comfortable, breakfast was good choice in lovely environment.

Receptionist friendly but failed to tell us there was a lift and we had to carry our case up 2 flights of spiral staircase Also same receptionist was expected to do check outs on reception and keep breakfast supplied hence orange juice missing for most of the time as it was the most popular.

The staff were all superb. Customer service was superb. The reception lady had identified a problem with our booking but resolved it completely. The restaurant was lovely and we received fantastic service. Our limited language skills were more than accommodated by the hotel staff. The food was first class.

The location was great. The staff were great too & very helpful. The breakfast was excellent.

The restaurant was closed on Sunday evening & we couldn’t even get a drink at the bar. The bedroom was very small with a sloping ceiling making it very difficult getting out of bed in the dark. The en-suite bathroom was ok

Have stayed here before, last time a couple of years ago. Rebooked because it was fine then, but then pleasantly surprised to find the building and rooms have been sensitively upgraded to full 'boutique' standard whilst retaining the charm of the old stone construction. Dinner out on the Riverside terrace was great. Room amongst the cheapest in Loches at the time which left me a bit of cash to indulge myself with in the restaurant. Food was excellent too.

Not a criticism really - suspect the restaurant was busier than had been expected, another member of staff would have helped the two who were working.

This is a stunning property that has been sensitively restored. It is a hidden gem and I was truly delighted to have found it. Everywhere was really comfortable and dinner in the conservatory was truly delicious; a wonderful venue and such welcoming staff. I would love to return.

I loved everything!

The room was very nice and had a great view of the river, it was lovely to wake up to in the morning.

The elevator was a bit tricky to use - we ended up getting stuck inside and someone had to come help us. There are instructions on how to use the elevator inside but it is not instinctive and apparently people get stuck between floors quite often.

Excellent location - comfortable room

We booked an evening meal for 7.30pm but guess that maybe they had staff problems in the kitchen as we did not get our starter until an hour later and then our main meal another hour after that after asking the waiter where our food was! However, although the food was very late in arriving in was actually excellent and we would stay there again.

The town of Loches and the location of the hotel was beautiful. The rooms were comfortable and clean.

Lack of staff and very little breakfast left even though it was 40 minutes before the end of service. We almost got locked out because we didn't realise that you needed a code to enter the building after a certain time. Luckily 2 other guests let us in.
