Great location especially during Fete des lumières (most of main sightseeing and installations are in walking distance). Room is very spacious and bed is really big

Prices are doubled in December, but it is the same for all the accommodations in area

The location was excellent - we were in Lyon for the Rugby World Cup (match in St Etienne) and the hotel is very well situated for restaurants and bars to watch the games on the TV. The hotel is also well situated for visiting the historical /tourist sites in the city. It is a bit further away from the two main stations (30 or 40 mins away by foot) but it is all in a straight line! Metros and trams are also available. The central location meant it was easy to drop into the hotel to collect something, drop something off etc.

It was all good for us. It was very hot, we didn't have an air conditioned room, but we knew that before booking and the fans were pretty effective.

We had a nice experience at ‘Citadines’. We had a studio with 2 beds. The room was big, clean, functional and like the photos show. The location is great, next to lots of restaurants, patisseries, other food shops and public transport. We appreciated the coffee, tea and water at our disposal and the umbrellas for unexpected pouring days. Luckily our room was on the 8th floor, far enough from the street noise. The view was nice from there. The lifts were slow, but did their work. Reception is open 24/7 so it was perfect for us as we arrived late. We met Corina, a friendly helpful receptionist who speaks Romanian, which is a plus for this hotel in our case. Nice shower gel, shampoo and conditioner by the way!

We didn’t like the attitude of the maybe bored receptionist at our late check-in who could have offered us the opportunity to taste breakfast due to Ascott Star Rewards, but he didn’t say a word. So we didn’t have breakfast at the hotel. Quel dommage, Monsieur! No a/c but we knew it when booking the room (luckily it was not too hot when we visited Lyon). We would gladly stay here again.

We liked everything about this place. The location was right in the middle of the main shopping places that we could walk everywhere for the best food, best ice cream and to visit many places as it was the centre of everywhere. There were many bars around too. The location was also 2 mins to a metro line or tram line or buses. The room was so huge for the amount we paid, we never expected it. So much space, the kitchenette was far from the bed, the bathroom was so large together with the WC. They had laundry facilities in the hotel that you can pay and use. The coffee from the vending machine at the hotel pantry was free flow the whole day. The receptionist were very helpful and kind. There was a fan in the room for the summer heat which was strong and good enough to give us a comfortable sleep. We fully recommend this place.

There really is nothing bad to say about this hotel.

The propriety is in the city centre, and walking distance to a multitude of restaurants, bars, attractions etc. Usually this chain is in city centers all over France and it offers all the comforts for a stay, including a small kitchen, dishwasher, etc.

Not all rooms have air conditioning and if you choose this option the room price is double. If you happen to stay at lower levels, the streets are quite busy and noisy well past midnight (this is not the hotel's fault, and we did not mind, but some might find it bothering). There is no parking, but there is a public parking just 5 minutes away.

We had a great start, as we could get into the room already around noon - after a long yourney, which was extremely helpful. We met only super-friendly and helpful staff during the whole stay. The room was spacious and had all that is needed. Our room faced a restaurant area, so it was pretty noisy at night - with open windows. However, there are double windows, so this noise can be avoided/reduced. On the other hand, one is only a few steps away from a quartier with good restaurants, cafes and bars. And the hotel is also close to many shops. Overall, a great value for the money (in late July !).

Nothing substantial.

The hotel is very centrally located and we could walk to a lot of places (though the railway station - which we used a few times - is about 25 minutes by foot). We had an apartment with an inner courtyard view, which meant the noise from the many restaurant terraces around was never an issue - it was an oasis of calm and well worth the extra money. The rooms were also well insulated, so noise from other rooms was not a problem. The kitchenette was well-equipped and functional. We used the laundry facilities during our stay and they were also decent.

As a family of three, we had to use the couch in the main room, and it wasn't very comfy even for a 10 year-old - it was made of two separate narrow (and not very straight) mattresses.

The best part was the location, and the stuff was so professional and helpful and cheerful. The room was also very comfortable and if you like you can even cook something in your kitchen. During the day you can just go to your room and rest a bit and change your clothes then continue discovering around.

Next to the hotel, some homeless people live with their dogs in the tents and at some nights they may bark. So it may not be very silent all the nights. But for me, it was not a problem.

great location, spacious room (we had 2 appartments one with a big bad, the other one with a big bed and a sofa bed for 5 people). the double windows are very effective in cancelling the noise of the bars in the street. very clean and nice staff. I really appreciated the complementary coffee in the shared space.

the room was a bit warm even if outside it was not. we had to keep the window closed for the noise, so could not fix the room temperature. the rooms and receptions are nice but corridors and elevators look a bit dated

- AC was making a lot of noises - no daily cleaning (or at extra cost!) - hotel was also home to homeless who were sleeping just right next to the entry - old building / facilities - weak water pressure
