Abbaye des Capucins Spa & Resort

A stunning hotel, full of artistic treasures and beautiful decor throughout. We stayed in one of the privilege rooms on the first floor; a lovely, clean room, big comfortable bed, peaceful and quiet. The outside spaces are lovely too. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from the Place Nationale in the town centre. Montauban is a lovely town, great little shops in the centre and more friendly people. Can’t wait to return and we’ll be staying at the Abbaye des Capucins again.

Magnificent, breathtaking views of the port below! Staff is kind, professional, and chef personally prepared meals for us. The pool is gorgeous, with equally spectacular views. Rooms are immaculate with spa like immenities. This small family owned 26 guest resort won’t disappoint!

The hotel access road is thrilling to say the least… 1 mile up with 13 hair pin turns, 2 hard rights, and 2 hard lefts… one car width the whole way… hundreds of feet drop on the cliff side with no guardrail! 😳

The swimming pool was really refreshing as it was an extremely hot day when we visited there.

The dinner at the hotel restaurant was pretty bad that night. The meat wasn't just edible and we had to return our plates. We weren't the only guest who did so that night. No apology from the restaurant at all and we were fully charged. Just when we came back to our room, they had a blackout. No notice from the hotel, either, so I called the reception and receptionist just told us we must wait another 10 min or so.... Well, it was not too bad as we could enjoy the dark sky full of stars.

Everything! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a small suite which was perfect for my wife and son. The restaurant had excellent food. The hotel was just a short walk to the center of Montauban.

This was our first visit to Montauban, so we had some difficulty finding the narrow entrance way to the interior parking area. Once the construction is done on the hotel extension, I am sure that issue will be resolved.

This was by far the most comfortable bed we have slept in whilst travelling, for the last 4/5 years and we are frequent travellers. The air conditioning worked as it should too, which is also a rare event these days. We also found our room to be very quiet.. happy guests!! Yes, we were very happy with our stay there and will be using them again, for sure…

We liked everything!

Lovely size room and nicely furnished. Very comfortable bed and good shower. Nice fluffy towels. Good parking. Convenient location just a short walk from town and restaurants.

We had a complimentary room upgrade with Booking.com but they missed this on the booking and we had to go back to reception with the room key and point out they had not given us our upgrade. Wifi was pretty weak and reception staff added me to their staff Wifi

when we arrived around noon we were tired and thirsty. but reception indicated that the bar and restaurant weren’t open. no way of getting a drink. Very inexperienced reception staff didn’t tell us that there was a coffee machine that we could have used. Also on a subsequent morning, when no coffee pods had been left in our “deluxe” room, I was sent to the breakfast room to find them on my own. reception staff should have done this.

Room was large (although perhaps we were upgraded as our booking could not be found even tho payt had been made). Separate bath, shower and toilet room, the latter is unusual in our experience but welcome. Well presented hotel, an easy 10 minute walk from the main town square. Good breakfast and friendly staff throughout. The town was very quiet but it was February and quite cold.

The pool and restaurant are nice

The rooms leave a lot to be desired, I looked at 3 different rooms in total and decided to stay in the Chambre privilège Terrasse. While this was an upgrade from the other 2 rooms, which I had to pay additional charges for the upgrade, I still didn't think it was worth the price. I would have left if it wasn't for the fact that I was locked into the reservation with no cancellation available. The staff was great, the facilities need a lot of work. -fridge didn't work -room was dark and the windows had a white film over them, which made you feel claustrophobic Just not what I expected for a four-star hotel overall

Large room, comfortable bed, friendly staff, good restaurant. Nice pool . Easy parking. 10 minutes walk into centre.

Not enough shade around pool, only 3 umbrellas. Room a bit soulless. Quite a large hotel so has functions. The hotel doesn't let this affect daily running but some of these types of guests can be quite noisy.
