Mercure Nantes Centre Gare

The hotel style, flavoured water each morning at reception, Nuxe Bathroom products, staff filled our water bottles multiple times for us, Bathroom was lovely. Shower was so nice - great pressure! Decor. Size of room, good bed, location, lighting, tv display.

Our air con was really bad and in this heatwave we were too hot with 5 people in one room. bathroom sink was dirty and didn’t drain as there was money stuck in the plug hole. The bedroom carpet had lots of stains. No bin in bedroom. Breakfast was too expensive to justify. There was a parking fee of €12/day

Blackout curtains were excellent. Location was great - within easy walking distance of the old town. Desk in the room, with power points on the side - very convenient. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was good.

Check-in seemed to operating on a shoe-string, using a mobile phone and a notebook - more like a B&B than a top rated hotel. The second morning at breakfast things were a bit stressed - plates ran out, along with bacon, even though the dining room was not packed.

-Location is great. Near the train station, it’d be handy if you are traveling to/from Nantes by train. But it’s not too far to go to city center. 5 mins drive and approx 20 mins walking. - We actually booked triple room, but when we came in to the room, the room was still in mess and hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guests. so i went down and reported it to the front desk and we got upgraded to the family room which has spacious space, comfy beds, has nespresso coffee machine and few pods are there.

The amenities in the room are great, the only thing missing is Iron. you know most hotels have iron in their room. but not a major thing.

I took a priviledge room which was spacious, very airy with view on the canal. Despite the fact that the hotel is next to the railway station you dont hear anything. Room including the bathroom are very well designed and decorated. A very good modern hotel if you need to be next to the station and the shuttle to airport (and the COVID testing centre called La Manufacture). Shuttle to airport is opposite the hotel. Very good service for 9 Euros. I also liked the lobby with separate spaces for working or for privacy. You need to cross the train station (very quick) in order to get to the city centre. So if you prefer to be more central it is better to book a hotel in the centre. The restaurant attached to the hotel is also a bonus.

The service at breakfast was not consistent. Some young staff seem to be poorly trained. You sometimes wait for ages to get your coffee or for food to be replaced. Good breakfast though.

The room and hotel in general, was stylish, comfortable, and clean. I liked the location, very handy for the city centre.

Breakfast. No system of seating, no explanation from waiting staff as to what was on offer. Coffee was weak, and food in general not very nice. Tables were not clean, or set correctly, if at all.

Very well located from the train station, very clean and great design of the room. It was confortable and despite the lack of intimacy for 3, everyone had a confortable and big bed. Staff were nice as well.

You need to be careful with the shower, because water can drain out if the shower takes too long.

Room not very spacious. Insufficient space to put clothes. bath towels very small. They took payment 9 days before our stay via Booking which incurred a U.K. bank charge when we had expected to pay at the hotel.

the decor is stunning with many old books the room are spacious and the bathroom is very confortable the breakfast is superb the staff was kind and helpful. they changed our room on my request to get a bathtub The location is great as this is by the train station, a walk away to the castle of the dukes and the water mirror

the room on the 6th floor are just under the roof and are feeling pretty small.

Good location. Nice room and bathroom. Good bed. Very good breakfast.

Very weak air conditioning. I wasn’t sure if the window was one -way vision so kept curtain closed. The room lights could be brighter also the shower. If I was certain the window was one-way I’d leave curtain open more.

Room very clean and nicely equipped, bed very comfortable and everything working.

Unlucky in that the room outlook was probably the worst I've experienced, overlooking some sort of operating equipment directly outside, perhaps conditioning unit or generator. Also, not that keen on shower area having glass walls which made me relieved I wasn't on that occasion sharing.
