Everything! The staff are amazing, so helpful, so friendly and always professional. A special thank you to Luna and Aya for making our 40th wedding anniversary so special! From the amazing upgraded room, to your suggestions of places to visit, to the pastries, the fresh fruit and a special thank you to Luna, who carried our luggage up the stairs!! Although the restaurants were not open on our anniversary, we did eat at GIGI and everything was beautiful. Lots of lovely bars and restaurants close by and an amazing indoor food and drink market.

This hotel was one of the loveliest I've ever stayed in. The building, a seventeenth century grand house) has been sympathetically adapted - no beige here! The staff were delightful. We have to mention Liz (Leese) who was so welcoming, friendly and have us great recommendations. The room was gorgeous. We were upgraded but, looking at the building, I imagine all rooms would be wonderful. The town itself has the most amazing history from Roman times and, along with that, the mediaeval centre is beautifully preserved. We were there in a huge heatwave but the communication of trees and shade made it seem much cooler than the official temperature. We ate at Rouge which had been awarded a Michelin Star. The food was amazing and, again, the staff were lovely. Thanks for guiding us through the meal Thomas. The whole experience in Nimes was magical.

It was perfect.

Very friendly, warm staff. The room had lovely amenities, and the common rooms of the hotel were charming. They've made an effort to meet guests needs and add a few special touches (cookies upon arrival, coffee and tea in the room, thick towels, comfortable bed). We had a lovely palm tree in the pool area outside our room. And the building itself is historic and very beautiful and well cared for. The room was nice, especially if you like the drama of an all black room! The bed was great and the reading lights were appreciated.

There is no parking, and the hotel sent us to a parking garage that was closed. The hotel is located in a pedestrian area, which the hotel doesn't make clear on the website, so you cannot drop your bags...you have to find a parking garage and then carrying your bags for about a 7 minute walk-which isn't that bad, but later at night it just feels like a hassle. The hotel has no elevator (although the building is gorgeous), so beware to anyone who doesn't do well with stairs. The internet wasn't super strong, and the breakfast was very expensive.

A fabulous, historical hotel in the centre of Nîmes, within walking distance of all the main Roman sites. The little side streets are full of cafés and restaurants and it’s a lovely area with a great vibe. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was beautiful - very large and luxurious. We requested a massage in the spa area and they were quick to arrange it. The Michelin starred restaurant, Rouge, in the hotel is amazing and we really enjoyed the tasting menu there.

Nothing, it was all very tasteful and a beautiful place to relax.

I must say that it was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive to our every need. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and ensure that our stay was unforgettable. One of the highlights of our stay was the attention to detail that the staff provided. They took the time to learn our names and preferences, and made sure that every aspect of our stay was tailored to our needs. From the luxurious accommodations to the delicious meals at the on-site restaurant, everything was perfect. The location of the hotel was also incredible, with all the major sights in walking distance. It was wonderful to be able to explore the city without having to worry about transportation. The staff was also incredibly helpful in providing recommendations for local attractions and restaurants. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The staff provided a higher level of service than I have experienced at any other hotel, and the attention to detail and luxurious amenities made for an unforgettable stay. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

there is nothing I didn't like about the location. But keep in mind there is a trade off when staying in a luxury boutique hotel that is in the city center. Typically these are historic building that don't have elevators and are located in pedestrian zones which means no parking on sight. But there is parking very close by and they will assist with your luggage if needed.

Very spacious rooms and a nice balcony overlooking old townhouses and alleys. Nice and large beds, a nice shower facility (and a large and inviting bathtub). Air conditioning, a coffee machine, a small refrigerator. And of course the swimming pool in the garden/patio. A great location in the bustling old-town city centre.

The rooms (a family suite) were very spacious, but only had two coat hooks/hangers on the wall (and a few hangers in the closet) - the result being that we had to hang our clothes, towels etc. on chairs, doors, and in other improvised places. A bit messy. It is a general problem in hotels, but in this case it seemed odd, given the many bare walls with copious amounts of space for mounting stylish shelves and coat racks to help visitors organise their rooms. Expect some noise from the bars and streets at night - at least if windows are left open to let in night air (alternatively, the air conditioning will cool you off, but it does make a humming sound).

The property is in a great location that’s not too far on foot from the train station, very close to the arena and interesting local shops, cafes and restaurant. The property was also stylishly decorated and clean. The staff was very nice and friendly as well. Rouge was such an amazing experience and definitely worth the visit if staying at the hotel as it recently got its Michelin star.

The wifi does not seem to be compatible with WhatsApp and my family’s access to their Mail app on MacOS.

The hotel is beautiful, especially the 2 yards: so cosy and welcoming. A little nest to hide and chill in the old town. Our room was large and comfy, with a lovely terrasse. Diner at Rouge was an experience by itself. Great food and great service. We strongly recommend the hotel.

The hotel team was very nice and reactive. Somehow it just felt that hotel management rules were a bit tight, and that they did not leave the team with much room in the way to apply and convey them. For instance, for this kind of hotel, we could have expected a small and natural gesture for not having hot water the first night (which was totally and quickly solved afterwards). But again all in all we would definitely come back.

Beautiful historic property. Lovely common spaces, comfortable sitting areas, bar, small pool, outdoor terrace and courtyard. Bed and linens were very comfortable of high quality. Our room was very quiet. We were welcomed by a very accommodating staff. Wonderfully located hotel got the old city, but if you have a car the parking garages are a 5-10 minute walk, and difficult to navigate unless you have a very small car and are experienced maneuvering in tight places!

We had two adjoining rooms on top floor. One room (6) was bright, light, and open with large windows, nicely furnished and decorated. The other room ( 7) was a large suite with sitting area. It was quite dark, a few small windows, lighting was insufficient, furnishings a strange assortment of odd and ends, decorations were likewise. The overall impression was rather gloomy. The petite dejeuner offerings were unimpressive, especially for the price.

The location is ideal except if one has a car. The parking is off sight so a bit of walking with luggage and the expense of parking have to be considered. We didn't eat the breakfasts although I suspect they were wonderful.

I thought that our room needed a bit more lighting. There is quite good natural lighting during the day, but at night some parts of the room were a bit hard to see (like in the drawers of the dressers).
