Hôtel Aux Vieux Remparts, The Originals Relais0

There was a problem with the room (no idea what) and we were relocated to another hotel for one night. This was communicated to us in transit. We were picked up at the station and taken to the other hotel and bags were moved for us next day. The "replacement" hotel was great and we were compensated with a free dinner. I have no complaints about any of this and they dealt with everything perfectly. Room was good size (superior double) and lots of eating options. Staff were incredibly helpful.

It's tricky to judge everything because we were not there long and the season in Provins does seem to drop of a cliff in September (at least on weekdays)

good location for tourist attractions (which unfortunately were closed in December) - gorgeous room with original features. very friendly staff

lack of wifi and quite cold (had radiators but they didn’t work so limited to aircon). amazing bar but only open at 7pm per day. should warn tourists to book taxi to property in advance we had to drag 3 suitcases for 30 mins up a steep hill because of no bus or taxi :-( not a great start to the holiday!!

wonderful location! it does take a bit of an uphill climb to get to, but we’ll with it!

the staff upon check in when I asked for restaurant suggestions. she told me of the restaurant in house. when I asked for other restaurants I got a very curt answer to the effect she doesn’t know with an eye roll. I understand she wanted to promote in house dining but we didn’t want to dine in house.

Very friendly and helpful staff . They helped a lot to find the hotel and solved a small problem with my car. Very spacious room with accessible bath room (I travelled with my daughter who is in a wheel chair). Very good food in the bistro and fabulous breakfast. Hotel is also situated inside the interesting and beautiful "high town" (ville haute). Very quiet at night.

Some more cupboards in the room would be welcome. Otherwise nothing to remark.

Perfect location right in the middle of town! Lovely hotel that blends old world charm with modern conveniences. We stayed here during the medieval festival and it was right in the middle of the activities. We were so glad to be able to go to our room to rest or use the bathroom during the day.

Above average charge for small dogs at 25€ per night per animal. Many other places range around 6-12€

rooms were lovely and it was a great location

restaurant staff were arrogant and the food in the restaurant was lacking in flavour. local restaurants provided great alternative venues for supper

good location in the old part of the city - more medieval - the traditional room was clean and very silent.

strange service reception, not very welcoming and not English speakers.
