Hôtel Txoko

Small, cosy and very well kept hotel located a couple of minutes in one direction from the beautiful clean beach and a couple of minutes in the other direction from the lovely old town of St Jean de Luz. Breakfast on our terrace was delightful and excellent quality. Madame Claudette is so kind and helpful and will do everything to make your stay a good one. Towels, coffee, biscuits etc all replaced every day, and a comfortable bed. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return!

the location is amazing: in the middle of a pedestrian street. At the top of the street: the sea and it's walkway. At the bottom of the street: a main suqare where they had a concert in the evening. Lots of restaurants in the street, and from the bedroom we couldn't hear a noise (our room was at the inner side of the building). The size of the room is small, but we didn't need anything bigger for our one night stay. We didn't meet anyone from the staff. We spoke with them on the phone: we asked for restaurant suggestions and they kindly booked one for us. Wifi was included.

This was the most comfortable hotel I have stayed in in years - the bed, pillows,duvet all perfect. The walk-in shower was roomy and the towels large and soft. It is in a perfect location in the old town a few steps to the beach, and 5 minutes walk to the port. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our hostess - friendly, warm and helpful.

Although there is an elevator you have to walk up one flight of stairs. The wifi did not work and it turns out Orange (our carrier) was having problems in the area. In general wifi connections were poor throughout the town.

Fantastic central location and still close to the railway station (5-6 minute walk). Has nicely decorated rooms that were in good condition, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Lovely welcome and super helpful host.

Room was a touch on the small size. Air conditioning in our room didn’t work properly - we were moved to another (larger) room that worked better with no fuss after a couple of nights. Central location means there is some noise from the bars and restaurants outside the hotel but most of the noise is blocked out when closing the wooden shutters and glass doors.

Great location for Garr de Lyon. Small cosy hotel. No in-room facilities but this is compensated with complimentary tea/ coffees, cold drinks fruit etc in welcoming social space on ground floor. Very welcoming with helpful staff. I booked a single room and felt safe.

Shower space on 6 th floor very tight so anyone with mobility issues would find it very difficult to navigate in and out of the shower as would a large framed person.

Loved where the hotel was situated in the heart of town and close to beach. Although we had trouble finding the hotel due to roads closed so where too late to enjoy beach really.

No parking which made it awkward as my partner has a few walking issues at the moment and had to walk quite a way. Realised after tho could have dropped him off but spent a while looking for somewhere to park so grabbed first spot we saw. Can stop for a minute nearby to unload but again didn't realise this till too late.

This boutique hotel was perfectly located in the heart of St. Jean-de-Luz, a thoroughly captivating fishing town. While some distance from the train station, we easily covered the distance on foot. A two minute walk into the town square; even less in the other direction to the beach. November is the perfect time to visit this town. The room was very comfortable. Claudette is a wonderful hostess who made our stay the best.

A small hotel located in the center of town and only one minute away from the beach. The place is located in one of the busiest streets in town. It has a lift from the 2nd floor up but personnel offered to help to carry the suitcases up and down wich was not necessary. We had a room facing the church with a terrace which was very quiet, comfortable, cozy, and clean. Madame Claudette was very helpful providing insider hints of sights to see and restaurants to enjoy.

Awesome location, good room quality incl bed, lovely, attentive host/owner lady. Excellent bars/restos/ice cream right at the foot of your door !

Noise and restaurant cooking smell (we had a standard room to the street) is ok if you stay 1-3 nights like us, while not to recommend if you re out there for longer or for a wholly relaxing experience. Value for money in this high season is ok while well at the upper tolerable end of it ..

Location is excellent and the rooms are clean and airy with air con as well.

No facilities - just rooms and can be quite noisy at night as the Hotel is on a busy street with lots is restaurants. Rooms are nice though. Breakfast is a tray to your room and was literally a croissant / yoghurt / bread and a juice… not worth it.
