Le Saint Michel

Everything was perfect. We don't remember being so pleased with our booked accommodation in a long time! The room was exactly as shown in pictures, with enough space for suitcases and clothing and a huge, super-clean and practically laid out bathroom! The location was perfect, too, right across the street from the entrance of Sedan#s main attraction, its fortress and a few minutes walk to the rest of the downtown and monuments. Parking was amply available either right in front of the hotel or in the parking to in front of the fortress, a few meters away from the hotel entrance. We also dined there and the dinner was exquisite (sole meaner for me and sander for my husband), while the owner of the hotel and restaurant and the waitresses were very attentive to our needs and special requests. Finally, the breakfast was exactly what one needs, from the fresh-squeezed orange juice, to fresh fruit and freshly baked croissants and pains au chocolate and other French breakfast staples, like fruit jams and preserves. All in all a perfect experience which may be repeated just for the sake of the hotel (i.e. although we feel we have seen Sedan's main attractions).

Nothing! Everything was perfect! We just wish the owner a long life so he can continue to serve travellers and diners with the same spirit of proactive hospitality and enthusiasm for his profession!

What a wonderful place, this is the France you'd want to experience! Great hosts, fantastic food and wine selections, and a comfortable room in a great location, where it's easy to park! This is French hospitality (and food :)) at its best! A special thanks to Monsieur to allow us an extension for the day at a very reasonable fee!!! Greatly appreciated.

I would only recommend to have sensors for the hallway lights that detect movement. The light buttons to press are not always clearly visible in the (very) dark hallways at night. Other than that, NO complaints whatsoever!

Wonderful welcome. Great staff super friendly and cheerful. Excellent value for money. Great breakfast. Free parking. In the historic area. Right next to the Chateau Fort and the market place.

Nothing, at first we were a bit worried about the street the hotel was in, it was quite worn. But the hotel is charming and in excellent condition , the restaurant serves fabulous food at very good prices.

Style of the room had a warm and relaxing atmosphere to it, location of the hotel was brilliant and managed to get a good parking space next to the hotel. Restaurant looked very nice and comfortable. Great views of the sedan castle.

Wifi on the 4th floor (Etage4 chateau name of wifi Id) was absolutely terrible no signal at all, door handle on the shower screen were loose, air con was flashing faults on the controller and not working, had to use the 2 fans that were there. Light fittings above the bed side tables areas were broken held up by cable ties.

We met several of the staff, and they were all very helpful, in particular the gentleman who arranged tables outside for us. We'd had a long drive, and the cold beer was very welcome ! We were looked after very well, and had a pleasant evening meal and good breakfast at the hotel. We had our dog with us, and this was no problem at this hotel. Parking outside the hotel was okay, when we found spaces. The street was not particularly attractive, but it has great access to the nearby castle, which overlooks the street.

The street outside was a bit congested when we arrived, and it looked as if several nearby buildings were being renovated.

Loved hotel particularly as it has an excellent reasonably priced restaurant. Centrally located. Plenty of free parking nearby. Good shower and comfy bed.

No drink facilities in room inc no coffee maker. Fortunately we bought along a travel kettle. No one speaks much English. Room not large but ok.

Lovely old building. Quite hot on the fourth floor but a fan was provided. Breakfast was especially good with fresh tea, oranges to juice, facility to boil own eggs. Lovely views over the rooftops with the swallows (I think?) dipping and diving. Clean and comfortable. Having a dog with us was not a problem. Carrefour City just around the corner. Within walking distance of the fort.

Some slight noise from people eating outside but finished very early so didn't disturb sleep.

Old 'Logis de France' member hotel, which means a great family owned hotel that makes your stay in Sedan a nice stay. Just a well run hotel in old part of town, right under the beautiful castle. Easy parking (free). Great restaurant with a great menu with good value for money. Came with the family and dogs, we received warm welcome by owner. No nasty surcharges for the dogs. Hotel that breathes a load of history.

Nice hotel with a friendly manager who let us park our motorcycles in the courtyard, the room was big and clean, the bed was comfy, and the shower was great - the hotel was close to the medieval fort and not far from the town We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that but everything else was great would definitely return

very nice 'old school' french hotel with restaurant, which was of very good level. Nice familial reception by the whole team - the way you like a hotel. Next to hotel a nice chateau, it is a pitoresque village. Wide possibilities for free parking available around the hotel. Breakfast had fresh juice and nice fresh choice of goodies. Very nice to stay here, highly recommended.
