Hôtel & Spa Greuze

2nd time we have stayed here – which says it all really. When we reported the broken shower, we were moved into another room with no question. Also very prompt to make the aircon. So 12 out of ten for customer service! Our room was comfortable and well appointed with a fabulous view of the wonderful Romanesque abbey. Breakfast was pretty good but not outstanding, but served to us on a delightful terrace. Dinner at a neighbouring restaurant (attached to hotel?) was REALLY good. Overall a very good stay in a beautiful building with secure parking.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, shower excellent and super breakfast. All in all we were very satisfied and would not hesitate to return to this hotel. Excellent location and just walking through the gates to the rear of the hotel take you to the historic abbey and square.

Tea/coffee facilities in the room would have been appreciated. Breakfast is served at the hotel either inside or out on the terrace but the restaurant is approximately 30 metres away if you want an evening meal. Other restaurants are nearby.

Hotel Le Greuze exudes a strong sense that it is a privately owned, and a chain hotel. That’s evident in how I as a regular though only occasional patron am treated, but even if I was not I believe thé hotel’s ethos is service & guest orientated. I have stayed many times before, and will again, and look forward to doing so.

I am generally very happy but since you ask I was disappointed by thé breakfast jams. Particularly in this region of France. I tried 3 of them , and they were each a mush, no discernible fruit. They definitely could be improved upon.

I like everything about this hotel - it’s the perfect location a km or so off thé motorway just as you enter thé centre of Tournus & next door to thé great Abbaye. You can park in a secure gated courtyard. It has genuine individual feel of a privately owned hotel with staff who care that you enjoy your stay and that they deliver thé best service. I always feel pleasure at arriving thé hotel, and regret that I do not stay linger.

Very nice and comfortable room. I used the aircon during the night (exceptionally hot) - it is extremely silent. Breakfast served at the table, good selection of bread, juice, yoghurt coffee/tee etc. Several restaurants nearby, at walking distance. Excellent location, close to city centre and exit road to highway.

The bathroom had a bathtub with a shower head, impossible not to spill water on the floor.

We really enjoyed the really quiet and peaceful atmosphere of the hotel. It is just beside the abbey and the historical center of Tournus. So, a perfect location for a short walk to relax after a long drive. Great staff and wonderful breakfast on the terrace.

The kind reception man helped carry my bags from my motorcycle into the hotel and up to the room from the secure car park. This was very welcome and helpful, especially after a long day, and one which sets hotels apart from others that I have stayed in on my month tour across Europe.

All of the staff with whom we came into contact were professional and extremely helpful. The staff gets a 5 star rating.

The WiFi was terrible. We could not connect to the internet virtually anytime. To have a chance to connect to the internet, we had to go to lobby and sit next to front registration desk. I would never recommend hotel to a business guest who depends on WiFi access.

Classic old-school hotel in a perfect location with wonderful staff. And they takes dogs!

Air-con could be better… other than that, it’s perfect as is. It’s not a modern monstrosity, so enjoy the charm!

From the moment we arrived at the car park, helpful staff helped with our luggage. From check in to check out staff we encountered were helpful and gave us advice on on where to go in the town.
