IntercityHotel Bonn

Hotel was very well located just across from the main station. It is smart and modern and was very clean and tidy. The room was spacious and the bathroom was very well laid out and had good quality facilities in it. If you like trains don't upgrade to the premium rooms as you won't have a view of the station and all the comings and goings ! The bed in the room was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on - pity I forgot to look at the make of the mattress before I left. We had breakfast at the hotel 1 morning and it was good with lots of choice from cooked food to cold meats / cereal / fruit etc. Other mornings we ate out as there are lots of cafes close by which serve lovely breakfasts.

The bar was closed for 2 nights of our 4 night stay - Sunday and Monday which meant we couldn't have a nightcap but that was a minor problem.

Great location, right by the Bonn Hbf. train station, I was a bit skeptical of hearing train noises, however the room was perfectly isolated and we were completely undisturbed. For the rest, good hotel, average for a 4-star, but with good prices.

Check in was not super smooth, I booked two rooms, and somehow one of the rooms appeared on their system as booked by one of the guests. We sorted it out, but I have never had this problem before. Nothing else to add.

The location was excellent since the hotel was directly next to the train station and thus also to the public transport connections. Breakfast was really delicious and the staff was friendly. Check-in and check-out was uncomplicated.

I would have preferred it if the staff wore face masks due to the pandemic. And one really tiny thing is that I would've liked one extra towel in addition to the 3 towels provided so that one doesn't have to use the paper towels after washing hands.

Fantastic location close to city centre, especially if you use the underground passage to the train station. The room size was larger than other budget hotels.

The car garage was not marked well and so we drove around for quite a while trying to find a parking spot only to discover the (excellent) lower level garage was accessible to the right of the building. The optional breakfast was quite expensive at €17 so we did not take it.

location was amazing, tight in the center of bonn , and if you are arriving by train its supper easy to get to the hotel, all you need to do to reach the center is cross the translation via the tunnel that is directly next to the hotel's entrance. the room was prepared for 1 person instead of 2 but the amazing staff handled it and gave us everything we need with smiling faces , service is really amazing and the staff is just lovely.

For us the breakfast at 17 eur P.P / day was a bit much so we skipped this option as there are endless options across the street

Did not expect to get a small gift for Easter from the hotel. It is quite a surprise for me. Asked a girl tips on the public transport from the receptionist in Bonn to get the ticket on public transportation. I am waiting for the front office personal to pick up the luggage but the person is away. The cleaning stuff also helped to look for the staff.

Very handy location being close to the railway station and and many restaurants, and tourist attractions.. Friendly efficient staff. Good size room and comfortable bedding with a well appointed bathroom. Pillows were a bit soft but no issue with extra pillows being provided on request Good breakfast

No coffee or tea making facilities.

The location is very convenient for me, since I arrive by train and the hotel is very much at the central station. Bed was very good and the room was very clean.

Too few people to do the check in. I was queueing because there was only one guy at the desk and the previous customer required a lot of time with his bills, information, etc.

It is exactly what you need for a short visit or a business visit to Bonn. It is just outside the Hauptbahnhof, so location is great to access public transport or go on foot to near interesting places. We did not take the breakfast the hotel offers, but at first sight it seems very varied and good. But definitely the best thing of this hotel is the City Ticket for the transport included with your reservation. It is awesome, as you have not to worry for spend more money in mobility. Simply great! The rate cost/benefit is the best.

The bed is comfortable. However, I think they need to offer more and firmer pillows.

The hotel is located right in the centre of the town. If offers a great breakfast buffet for a reasonable price. The ticket for public transport in town is included in the price for the accommodation and is of great advantage. Arrived early at the hotel and could easily check in before time.

The area around the hotel (main station) can be a bit dodgy at night time. If the window to the main station does not close properly one might hear the trains at night time. Then it's better to change the room as some windows in other rooms close perfectly well and one does not hear anything. The matrass in the first room was very soft and not beneficial for my back. When I asked to change the room I was told that all matrasses are the same. But during a second stay at the hotel I learnt that in a different room the matrass was much better/stonger and didn't cause any pain to my back. Would have loved to have a more engaged staff member at the reception in the first place (although most of them are super friendly).
