Citadines City Centre Frankfurt

In my third stay at this property--the first post-Covid, I was once again welcomed by a friendly and very helpful staff, a comfortable and well-appointed studio apartment including kitchen, and the convenience of being only a very short distance from the Messe entrance as well as the Skyline Shopping Mall.

The property is gradually showing slight signs of its age--while overall extremely well-maintained, there was a shelf missing from the fridge and no manual with instructions for the (sometimes complex) operation of the appliances. Lighting in this particular room was very dim--absolutely insufficient illumination to be able to read in bed--I don't recall that being the case for my previous stays. While I can hardly blame the property, a change in the Fair's location of its entrance gates this year meant that entering (but nor exiting) the Fair entailed a five or six minute longer walk.

This property is right opposite the skyline plaza building which is a shopping mall. There are a lot of eating places, good restaurants, shops and public transportation is within walking distance. The rooms were clean, warm enough and comfortable.

The location of the hotel is perfect for concerts/ the marathon or sites like the Senkenberg museum. It is across the street from the new shopping center Skyline Plaza and offers underground parking. The building and rooms are new and are nicely equipped. You need your room key to enter the building and go upstairs in the elevator. We felt super safe. We booked a studio with kitchen. It is great with kids for making breakfast, lunch or dinner. Therefore, we cannot comment on the offered breakfast. The hotel offers free coffee and chocolate milk all day in the common area downstairs. It makes you feel comfortable and welcome to hang around. The bathroom in our studio looked a bit old fashioned with the combined shower/bathtub, but for kids it is perfect.

Overall, the hotel is great. Some smaller things can be improved. The towels are quite thin and not so comfortable. In the kitchen there are a few items missing, like little forks and cereal bowls. There are three to four items of each, so either the dishwasher needs to run several times or people need to wash the dishes. Both options are not the most ecological solution. The programs of the dishwasher are not visible. Each room offers 3 pillows, but all of them are quite big and stiff. Softer alternatives would be great. Underground parking is available, but shared with MotelOne, so you need to pass by the reception first to buy your ticket (18€ per night) to enter.

The hotel is clean and modern and the apartments are stylish, comfortable and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful and the free teas and coffees are a nice plus.

The breakfast is fine if a little basic and the hotel doesn't have a bar or a restaurant, however the apartments have a kitchen area and there is a Rewe supermarket nearby, so I quite enjoyed doing a little self-catering.

Citadines hotel staff are friendly, hotel room is clean with Air conditioning. free coffee all times. across street from hotel is Skyline mall, metro stations are in walk distance.. very convenient location. I will recommend to my friend if they travel to Frankfort, Germany

second day was a bit pricey, from my point of view, I actually paid price for a suit, ( it means price for a small livening room and a bed room), but because I can’t check in till 3PM, and I have to check out my old room at 11 AM. so I end up paid for a suit price but stayed in my old room, which is a level lower than suit .. BTW, a lot of hotels check out time is 12 o’clock at noon, this hotel is at 11 AM..

Friendliness of the staff at the front desk, especially a young lady whose name I didn't catch (was it Cena - sorry if I got it wrong!). I feel very welcomed with the staff's greetings every single day without fail. Absolutely LOVED the coffee machine at the lobby. Superb hospitality for providing unlimited access to coffee/tea/milk/still & sparkling water free of charge. The close proximity to a large mall was great! Room was clean, cozy and pretty spacious. Was lucky to get a room which gave us a breathtaking view of the sunset. Despite it being located slightly further than I expected from the main train station, I believe the distance is a good trade-off with the safety of the surroundings. The drunkards and druggies mainly hanged around streets nearest to the train station. Didn't spot any of them near Citadines. Ladies travelling alone can catch the tram/bus from the main train station to avoid the shady streets.

The thick layer of white residue in the kettle after boiling tap water. Nothing harmful I believe, but it was not pleasant to see a layer of substance floating every time I pour myself a cup of water. No biggie about it though, as I could retrieve still or sparkling water from the tap at the lobby.

The apartment was clean and very tidy. It contains everything you need for a short stay. The staff tries to be friendly. In the pleasantly decorated lobby you can drink tea or coffee throughout the day.

In the bathroom, we could not regulate the water temperature and only had boiling water. The staff who were on shift at that moment did not know how to solve the problem. Only after our repeated insistence that something be done the staff of the second shift offer us a change of apartment. The whole process took 2 hours.

Managed to arrive and able to checked in early as the plane land early in the morning. The front desk are very helpful with the checked in too. This hotel is also very convienient as there is a mall located beside it. The room is nice and clean too!

The wifi went on and off sometimes. Other than that not much flaws overall.

It was an amazing location with a nice clean apartment that was very pretty cool near the skyline plaza in addition, the staff was proactive and kind to guests

From the first minute, the hotel brings a lovely impression. We went into a quiet and cool hall after a hot and dusty city. The lovely girl at the reception was amiable and responsible, and she spoke perfect English (as well as French and German). We were allowed to check in earlier, at 13 instead of 15. The room was not very big but perfectly clean, with a backyard view which is very quiet. The hotel has a free gym and coffee machines on the ground floor.

It would be nice if breakfast can be included in this price
