B&B Hotel Köln-West

Free Parking. Fast check-in. Automatic check-out in the morning, is very nice. Rooms were very good value, but accordingly, the room size is rather small. Rooms were clean. There is a great bakery a just a few walking minutes from the hotel. I would recommend eating there.

It was hard to find. It is surrounded by industrial buildings. There was no view, we looked at a bare industrial backyard. But that was ok, we only stayed one night, for that the room and service was great, and great value. But would not recommend a long stay, since the rooms are quite small. Breakfast would have cost extra. It was in my opinion too pricey, so I just didn't eat here.

Staff were very friendly as this was my second visit here. Great selection on the buffet breakfast included Nutella which is my Son's favorite. My Son is autistics and he enjoyed his time also, the dining room is very spacious. Some people ate breakfast outside as there is an area with tables and chairs there also.

I didn't see any brown sliced german seeded bread to toast. As I have been to Germany many times the sliced or unsliced loafs of bread is lovely and very healthy. This was my only disappointment everything else was great.

Really clean and well stocked vending machines of food and drinks. If you can't find a place in the inner city this is good. A 10 minute walk gets you to Marsdorf S bahn and takes you to Neumarkt in 30 minutes. There's also a great bakery when you walk to the stop, better than the hotel breakfast I imagine and excellent coffee. The hotel breakfast was packed when we were leaving with people queuing up for the buffet!

All in all it was good but I spent 20 minutes discussing double payment of the booking. I had paid through Booking.com and she had my friend pay again. I had to call home and get a copy od my credit card statement to show that I had pre-paid. She really didn't believe me. Coffee vending machine could serve better coffee! Other than that all was fine.

This isn't the first B&B hotel I've stayed in, although it was the first in Germany. Overall, you get what you pay for. It's effectively a european Travelodge... Parking is decent, but will fill up fast. Service is good, vending machines are stocked and it's close to a supermarket and fastfood places. Location is perfect for what we needed (overnight stop off)

Cleanliness left a bit to be desired, but it wasn't terrible at all. Other half is very picky...

+ Access via car is very good (Autobahn nearby, parking available on site) + Clean rooms, not very loud during the night even with the Autobahn nearby and open windows + Good value for money (especially during trade fairs) + Breakfast had a little bit of everything

- Access via train/bus from Cologne isn't too good, so if you don't have a car it could be quite a journey

The room is clean and very comfortable, good sheets and pillow. Easy check-in and check-out. There is breakfast if paid separately but I didn't try. I'm very satisfied!!

The location is a bit far from city and restaurants but it's okay for the quality and cost. Check about public transport on the weekends. There wasn't a refrigerator in the room and no phone to call to reception.

Room & facilities were great and the morning staff very helpful.

Location, it's a long way out of city centre . But 10 minutes walk to tram and straight into city centre. Taxis were expensive.

Nice and clean room, comfortable bed and clean bathroom. We enjoyed staying outside of a city centre. There is a free car park but might be a bit busy. A lot of shopping centres around.

The hotel is near motorways so forget to have an open window and breath a fresh air

Overall it was clean and comfortable with good wifi and a good shower. Ideal for a stop off point during a long journey.

The car park was so busy there were no spaces left and we had to wait to check in

Lack of communication among staff members. They would not let my coworkers check in because they needed proof of payment (that they already had). They would say there was not a room for me, when they already had all information on guest names. The hotel is nice but lobby experience was a nightmare.
