Great breakfast. Well-equipped room with kettle. Clean.

Good breakfast but no effort to prevent germs spreading at buffet. No hand sanitizer in breakfast room. No disinfecting between diners at a table. No spacing between diners. No disinfecting the handles and serving utensils. If one person had corona we could easily have all got it. They also do not warn you the booking cost doesn't cover the tourist tax. They wait til check out to tell you this. Other hotels do tell you this in advance.

The location of the hotel was very nice. It was on a quiet street but close to the centre. The room was large and clean enough. Staff were smiling and helpful. If you want to stay close to the center of Konstanz, it can be a very good choice in terms of price / performance. It was also a nice service that they provided free transportation cards during the stay. There is an additional tax on the day of departure, for your information.

The lack of air conditioning in the hotel and the humid air in Konstanz can sometimes be challenging during the stay. It didn't bother us too much as we got up very early and came back very late. It is a disadvantage that the hotel does not have its own parking lot and that nearby parking lots are expensive.

What a lovely stay at the Scheffelhof. We stayed for 3 nights. Rooms clean, beds comfortable Had all that was needed. Breakfast downstairs in the bar was lovely. The hotel is above an Irish bar but no noise heard when inour rooms Staff were excellent, friendly and accommodating. The bar was also a great place to visit. Staff added music requests to play list for us. The hotel is a short walk from the train station, Swiss border and old Town facilities woul definitely recommend this hotel and hope to return Thank you to all .

Excellent location within easy walking distance of everything in Konstanz, in a generally quiet neighbourhood.

It's not clear from the listing, but the hotel is above an Irish bar. You don't hear the bar itself, but on weekend evenings the noise from people in the street is too loud to sleep until 2am.

Reception and breakfast Staff were amazing. Large clean room with comfortable beds, separate mezzanine bed in family room for kids (or loudest snorer as long as they are short lol). Bar below very well stocked with good tunes and food.

We were on the 3rd floor, which meant the heat was overbearing at times. Two huge fans were provided to combat this. It was 33 degrees, and I am Scottish so probably no bother for others.

The room ia bright and warm. Everything is tidy and clean. The receptionist is really friendly. A bar under the hotel open at night and the atmosphere is good. Just opposite the hotel is a highly rated and tasty restaurant which makes the trip even better.

The pub was very busy late at night so it took longer to be served. But it wasn’t noisy in the room.

Quiet room at top of building above a pub. It was warm but quiet with the window open. Comfortable and fairly spacious.

We hadn’t realised the family room was two rooms. We could have just booked this instead of the additional single room for my brother who was staying with us.

restaurant on site is certainly great and having a real double room for 3 people was great

the check in was a bit not so nice - due to overload in the pub at that time - quite a long wait time untill somebody took care and them mixed up rooms to hand out a 2 bedroom which made it neccessary to redo the check in for the real room...a bit more prio for the hotel operation would be required here from at least one of the employees and also to assure that this one knows the bookings and rooms (and if 3 peoplle are waiting realizes that a 2 bedroom cant be correct)

Large room, friendly staff, good location, good value

No coffee in room, although there was a hotpot with tea etc. Our room was over the kitchen, so a lot of noise, luckily there was an air machine that drowned out the noise on the second night.
