Hotel Metropol

We got a free upgrade to a small suite which was great. The room was nice, newly renovated, and had two balconies. It was cleaned every day which was very appreciated, but I would like to have the more ecological option to not have it cleaned everyday. The orange juicer at breakfast was really appreciated as well.

The breakfast was not what we expected. The eggs were harder than hard-boiled and the options were very limited. Coffee was obtained through an automated machine that had horrible quality. We ate there once and then every day we were going out for breakfast. The parking experience was not great, but worked ok, it was small so if you have a big car you'd better park somewhere else. Driving in the pedestrian road was horrible, you were getting the bad looks from people which is understandable.

The hotel is in an ideal place, in the middle of the pedestrian zone. The room is decent with a terrace, it's a pity that we spent only one night. The parking garage under the hotel itself is excellent, but complicated to enter, especially if you don't get proper directions. Warning!!! You can enter the garage by going to the sports equipment store in the next street, then ask them to lower the steps so that you can pass. The problem is that we got this information after we were informed of the new address and that the sellers did not know what you were talking about. .The solution is to call the reception in order to communicate with the seller in Greek. It's a pity that we lost an entire hour of an evening in beautiful Larissa

The rooms were renovated and clean. Bathroom was ok and a glass wall kept the shower separated. Breakfast was fair but the highlight was that fresh orange juice was served which I haven't seen before in a 3 star hotel. The hotel also provides parking which is a must for the location given that it is located a block away from the central square and street parking is either illegal or very hard to find in the roads around city center so it would take a long time to park and probably you would have to carry all your luggage to the hotel a long way. The interaction with the staff was minimal since there was no need to ask for anything so I can't comment on that. The only special request from our end was a twin bed setup. The booking process went smooth and everything was in place by the time we arrived given that we booked the room earlier that day. Once your booking gets verified by the hotel there is a follow up email requesting your vehicle's license plate in order to issue a permit for you to drive in the city center to the hotel's parking through a designated route. Keep this in mind and respond quickly. Overall a value for money choice! I would book a room in the hotel again but I probably would swap breakfast with superior room option.

The toilet was placed impractically too close to the shower's glass wall so every time I had to sit on it my body would come in contact with that wall. Given that I didn't go for the superior double room, I was ok with having this as tradeoff but the room view was not that appealing and there was minimal natural light reaching the room.

This is a great hotel within walking distance of the train and bus stations. It is located in a pedestrian only area, so there are sidewalk cafes, restaurants and shopping right outside the door. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was only 5 euros for eggs, fresh squeezed orange juice, Greek spinach pie, cappuccino machine and then the usual continental items. The room was comfortable and there's 2 elevators. I was very pleased with my stay.

the hotel is located in the centre of Larisa. It is at the centre of all events, and the staff is friendly, accommodating and focused on fulfilling the guests’ requests. The apartment I stayed in deserves the best rating: it is spacious, functionally equipped, clean and comfortable.

Getting to the hotel garage by car is a bit confusing. With the support of the dedicated hotel staff, we managed to find each other and park successfully.

It was our second time there. The hotel upgraded our reservation. The room was more spacious this time and generally more comfortable. They let us use the parking space before check in and after check out. Parking space is an asset in Larissa. The staff was polite and heplful. Location is perfect. The beds are also perfect.

Soundproofing can still be a problem for light sleepers at busy hours.

Great breakfast for the price - a buffet with eggs and bacon, Greek yoghurt, fruit, bread etc. The location was also excellent! Right in the center of the city.

I'm travelling on a bicycle and it was unfortunate that they didn't allow me to store the bicycle indoors during the day. For the night they allowed me to keep it in the dining/reception area, but in the morning I had to haul it back to the parking hall which is open 24/7. The room and building felt a bit dated.

The position and the clean room

The behavior of the receptionist ,didn't understand the bad condition where I was.Three o clock suddenly I should go my wife to the university hospital of the town ,didn't let me go ,he saw i have paid the full amount,but all the time say I don't know how I charge( crazy thing) My wife make I surgery,what will happened if the situation was more emergency?

The staff are absolutely incredible, they went over and beyond, exceptional. It felt like home away from home. Clean, great value for money. Linen fresh and superb, pillows comfy - comparable to 5 stars I've stayed in.

There was nothing I didn't like about my stay at Hotel Metropol.

It is our third time there this year. Everything was again OK. Staff, WiFi, tidiness, comfort etc. We always appreciate the bottles of water in the fridge. Beds are amazing. Parking is an asset (They let us use it after checkout).

The only problem is again the soundproofing. We were awakened again at 09:00 by moving furniture on the floor above.
