Valis Resort Hotel

Nice area with lots of restaurants within walking distance and they close down the esplanade to cars at night which great for kids and others walking the esplanade. Congratulations to the precinct for this fantastic initiative.

This is what I don’t like about Greece in general but if the National Government could address it would worth its weight in Gold for the Greek Economy. The lack of recycling of plastic, metal cans and paper is a very negative marketing image for Greece. It portrays Greece as a third world country. In the long run something must be done about the rubbish situation as it look very unprofessional from a tourist point of view. Greece could become a leader in sustainable and environmental tourism if recyling and rubbish could addressed.

Valis is a large hotel and a conference center. The location is good, just in front of the sea. The rooms are large and comfortable, the bathrooms are large. It has a nice outdoor swimming pool, a spa and large common areas. The breakfast buffet is very nice and the pool bar and restaurant are good. We were there during the worst possible period when storm Daniel struck and the whole area around Volos was flooded. The hotel was the only structure in the area with electricity and the few remaining staff worked extremely hard to keep us safe, dry and fed. We would like to thank them for their efforts.

the rooms and the bathrooms need to be refreshed. The beds are uncomfortable and the choice of pillows poor.

kids club was nice, but doesn’t have a bathroom so they send the kids down the hall to a lobby bathroom in their own, which isn’t so great with smaller kids. still, out kids enjoyed it. pool and the main/afternoon lifeguard were great (morning lifeguard spent most of her time looking at her phone, not the pool). good shallow area for kids and floaties to borrow. also was surprised that the water wasn’t drinkable in the room and there were no water bottles provided (just a minibar with drinks for purchase).

we had a “suite” which was a pretty worn out, albeit large, room with a remarkably worn sofa bed. calling it a suite seems a bit disingenuous.

Very nice hotel in an amazing village !Location is absolutely beautiful and loved the entire area! Room size was good , but maybe a bit dated .The sea view- anazing1 I cannot comment on breakfast as we left before it started.

The pool bar had a restaurant- which we used for lunch: we ordered pizza and pasta .They brought us some pasta with a a salt less basic red dressing ..and supermarket frozen pizza ( heated at microwave). Unacceptable in 5 starts hotels!

The lady at reception kindly upgraded my room from Economy to a better one. The hotel is in a great location right on the seafront with wonderful tsiporiadika restaurants nearby. The sea seems very clean, I swam every day.

I could not figure out where to get the bus to Volos. I asked at Reception and the lady was unable to provide a clear explanation, she just kind of waved her arm and said 'over there.'. This is a trait of the female sex, they can rarely give clear directions. The bathrooms are 3-star not 5-star. Weak water pressure. No shower cabin, you shower in the bath with no shower screen and no grab rails.

This hotel is amazing, I couldn’t fault the hotel staff at all, I’ve never had better service in a hotel before, they are so friendly and attentive, nothing is too much trouble especially round the pool your always looked after with drinks you get free snacks, the room we had was amazing, balcony sea view, huge bed, bedroom & bathroom were spotless, i really would recommend this hotel to anyone! The location is perfect, right on front where there’s some of the nicest restaurants and bars right next to the sea, Also a short taxi ride into Volos where there’s so much to offer aswell, I highly recommended going to ΟΜΙΛΟΣ ΑΚΤΗ NOB restaurant it’s exceptional, the views are incredible!

Good hotel and location. Nice and big room with sea view. There are some taverna's nearby. tip: visit Afissos, some 15 minutes farther.

The breakfast could be better, if I compare with other hotels elsewhere in Greece. The eating terrace is not comfy and crowded. I was surprised to find out that if we want to have a good coffee we had to pay 9 euro for two cups. The towels should be softer.

Excelent from the staff politeness to the room and all the restaurants , everything was very nicely organized , amazing views especially at night from our balcony and the pool which was open helped the kids pass their time , the stuff inside the playroom inspired trust and everyone was at their best. Congratulations is in order I think to all the team of Valis Hotel.

Some parking issues with a wedding but nothing to do with the hotel it self.

The breakfast was excellent. Location was great. Room had a nice balcony with a lovely view. The spa and the ladies working there were very nice.

The bed was a little uncomfortable. The room was a little small. For the price the rooms could use some updating. The sink was cracked, the shower door didn’t close all of the way. Minor, however for a luxury hotel it could use some love.

The location was perfect, as after the pool bar the beach was starting. The platform going inside the see is a very clever idea. The weathr was not good at all and we dind' t manage to stay outside the pool bar or to swin in the pool. But the indoor pool was perfect as also the spa services. The people of the hoter more than perfect. Luxury, clean, nice peaple, satisfied WiFi internet, great pool bar (even in the indoor place). It will be on of my selections next time I visit Volos. Very good relation between value of maney and services.
