Phoenix Hotel

Excellent location and excellent hotel. We booked a 2 adults plus 2 children room and we actually got a massive family room with two large separate rooms, each with its balcony! Room was spacious and clean. The hotel sits bang on the central square of Zakynthos city. Price included breakfast, which was amazing for both us and our children. All freshly made with an abudance of savoury and sweet food plus fruits and coffee. Would totally recommend.

Bathroom could be a bit bigger, although new and clean. If you are travelling with a car, please keep in mind that the hotel only has 7 parking spaces and parking in the centre can be a little tricky.

Extremely convenient location in Zakynthos town. Very tidy and modern room with super friendly staff. I really would like to highlight how helpful people at the reception were. As the weather was a bit unpredictable the week when I was there, I had to rely on their recommendations quite a bit for booking boat trips and they also helped with car hires. I really do recommend Phoenix Hotel to anyone who plans to spend the majority of their time exploring the island, but would like to come back in the evenings to a clean and comfortable accomodation, supported by an extremely nice staff.

There was honestly nothing to complain about, I only wish I could have stayed longer.

The Phoenix is centrally located in saint Marcos square , our balconies over saw the bustling town square but still wasn’t overly noisy when the balcony doors were shut. The rooms were clean and modern . Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast was in the restaurant downstairs and had fresh juice in mason jars which was a nice touch and a variety of both sweet and savoury items that varied.

The only thing this hotel lacks is a pool as a couple of others in town so have them , however it would not deter me from staying here again

The room was very clean and we had a lovely view from the private balcony, we could see the main square with the church and the sea behind, was magical. The staff was all very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the breakfast too, there were both fresh fruits, greek traditional cakes and homemade orange juice.

The only thing i think i would change were the pillows, i found them too soft for my taste, and in the morning, it was completely flat.

Good location, very convenient to everywhere, many many restaurants nearby. Very friendly and helpful staffs, nice views from the balcony. Cleaning lady is also very responsible, we stayed for 6 nights and she cleaned our room everyday carefully.

There are some spots have spider web, needs to pay a bit attention when cleaning. The room near the lift and stairs can be a little bit noisy from both outside street and the stairs, but not a big problem if you don’t have trouble sleeping

It is a great location, central to Zakynthos town and the bars, restaurants and shops on offer. A small, stony but clean town beach is 10 minutes walk along the seafront. The bus stop/station is a 15 minute walk away if you want to travel to Laganas, Kalamaki or other beaches. The buffet breakfast was good with fresh orange juice, coffee and pastries. the range on offer was a little limited and, if eating early at around 7am, the cooked food seemed to have been sitting out for some time. If arriving towards the 10 am finish time, staff would cook hot food to order. The room had a great bed and shower, a useful fridge, much-needed air on and a smart tv that connects to your Netflix account. We paid for a superior room which gave us quite a large terrace with sun loungers but it was too hot to use during the day. the hotel has virtually no communal space and the downstairs bar/restaurant is a little soul-less - it would really benefit from a pool and a lounge area but was generally good value for money and a comfortable stay.

Rooms are well designed, ventilated with a nice terrace. We were lucky to have sea and main square view. Hotel is renovated, very well decorated located right in the city center main square, close to restaurants, bars, supermarkets and agencies to buy tours and rent car/motorbikes. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast very nice served in the hotel restaurant (Central Resto Bar) with a very nice ambience to observe the city “waking up”.

Nothing.

Everything was perfect. The stuff from the hotel was professional and polite. Nice and clean room. Good service. They are cleaning room every day, new towels and bed sheets every day, Nice view from balcony. Breakfast was excellent also. If we visit zakynthos again, we will definitely come back here.

The hotel is in a center at the big walking square, so it's a little bit noisy and A/C in our room was a little bit noisy also, but nothing special.

This was only an overnight stay to be near the ferry port to the mainland but would happily have stayed longer. Excellent location next to the main square of Zakynthos town that really comes alive at night with an almost carnival atmosphere - teeming with interesting restaurants and shops. The hotel staff were great and welcoming. Very modern comfortable room with great bed and excellent breakfast. It is a really lovely hotel and would happily return there!
