Regal Airport Hotel

The bar was open at 11:00 and enjoyed two Cosmopolitans at the bar and the bartender was genuinely conversational.

I wish there were snacks and alcohol available for purchase. The hallways felt dark but that may be bc I’m older. 🧐

Everything apart from slow check in and problem with our room (see below) which was immediately rectified by the staff. Overall, very good.

Check in took a long time. Staff thought I was booked through Expedia initially and there seemed to be some confusion in general. The first room we were allocated smelled of cigarette smoke the minute we walked through the door. The hotel immediately transferred us to another room which was great. Although it is a no smoking hotel we realise it is difficult for them to control if a guest ignores that and smokes in their room.

Convenient access to arrival and departure area of Terminal 1 HKIA. 5 min walk inside air-conditioned comfort. Can wheel luggage on trolleys direct to room, and for return to HKIA. Access via arrivals area left side. Signed in English and Chinese. Staff are very helpful, many speak fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin. HSBC premier centre and many ATM machines on lvl 2 in hotel. Swimming pools were great. Exec Club Lounge very nice, as is China Club and grill and the cafe. Suite very comfortble and well appointed. Hotel is huge so plenty of exercise, or can do in well appointed gym. Hotel bus to shops is a great service. look forward to return stay. 24/7 hotel service.

Excellent location. After arriving at Terminal 1 it is so convenient to just walk about 200m, all undercover, to the hotel. A late checkout was much appreciated as we didn't arrive until after midnight due to delays. With much of the next day to fill in before a late flight, we were able to leave our bags at reception. We also spent a lot of the day in the comfortable lounge area. One staff member was particularly helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and clean

We had 2 large single beds. My husband found his a but hard. I had a sore foot so when we were filling in time in the lounge area I took my shoes off. A manager came and said I had to out my shoes on.

It was the first time that I have seen a telephone next to the toilet, and I have stayed in many hotels around the world. This hotel is unique, you can order room service from the comfort of your seat on the throne, or order more toilet paper... 😂 Seriously though, the bed was so comfortable I wished that I could stay longer. Unfortunately, we just stayed for one night to get some sleep before our early flight back to UK. Walking distance to terminal 1, maybe 10 minutes. If you want some luxury before your flight home, and want to be on time for your flight... I would definitely recommend this hotel highly.

Very friendly staff. The lifts did not take long to arrive concidering how many rooms this hotel has.

It was super close to the airport and there’s a walking bridge connecting the hotel to Terminal 1. They have a shuttle bus that takes you to Tung Chung Station to get into the city. Although their Shuttle does not have any dedicated stop sign, go back to where they dropped you off, do not follow the map they have on their website. I walked around trying to find the station on the map, but in the end the shuttle stops in the same queue as the other hotel shuttles, look for Sheraton queue for example. It usually says "Regala" on them :)

The amount of people check in is crazy. I arrived at 23:40 and waited in line for 45 mins before I could check in, but the check-in process was smooth.

Location of the hotel is perfect...short walk from the terminal to the hotel all in an air-conditioned walkway. The check in process was quick and easy...upgraded to a King room. Clean, comfortable and quiet. We did not hear any jet noise during our entire stay. The buffet lunch and breakfast were really good. Incredible variety of food. Water in our room which is really nice after a long day. Coffee service for the morning was nice. Overall, a really nice stay.

Two of the hotel restaurants are closed temporarily leaving two others for a dining experience...both very nice choices.

Location is ideal for recovering from jet lag or a one night stopover because it is a few minutes walk down a long corridor in from the arrivals Hall. The 24 hour gym (which I used) is excellent. Room was clean and spacious. The air con was quiet and efficient.

There needs to be a sign for the hotel directly opposite the arrivals (A) exit. We were tired, jetlagged and walked straight outside towards the airport exit trying to find the hotel. It wasn't until we asked someone and were turned around that we saw all the signs pointing the way. ( turn left on exiting arrivals A and it's at the end of the hall by Pret a Mangè). Then we realised that exiting arrivals (A) there were no signs visible.

The link to Terminal 1 at the airport the night before my early morning check in flight was excellent as it removed any anxiety about getting from Causeway Bay to the airport on time. The bar area was a lovely quiet place to have a farewell drink the night before my departure. Clean and comfortable room met my expectations.

At check in, the friendly and professional Staff member should nevertheless have advised us which of the 2 lifts gave the closest access to my room . It was a S - I presume that means South - room we discovered ourselves was close to a lift we didn't know existed at check in - we were directed to a lift that required an unnecessary and very long troublesome walk with luggage when a lift access much closer to our room would have been much appreciated in our tired state.

Just next to the airport, so for anyoney who layover just a night in Hongkong this should be a definite choice. You don't need to wake up so earlier because it's just 5 minutes walk to the check in counter/immigration gate after your check out from hotel. They have so many rooms, a very big lobby, the bus stop just in front of the lobby, also you can find train stations just very near.

I don't quite like the room design, a bit old, with a very low quality facility for a hotel like this. Hopefully they can upgrade the rooms very soon.
