Hilton Garden Inn Budapest City Centre

Great location, big rooms, comfortable beds. It was very clean. Private and safe garage, very convenient if you travel with a car. (The parking was around 20€/day).

Unfortunately a hotel that insists on having carpets on the floors everywhere. And the carpets are stained and disgusting. I have no clue why some hotels insist on having carpets everywhere. It‘s really not very hygienic. Only one member of the staff annoyed me: a barkeeper at 10pm (bar is open until 11pm). We were asking for a dry martini. We saw all the ingredients in the shelf. No problem to make it. She said she cannot do it. That‘s a bit sad really. I think she was just lazy. Because we saw someone having a martini in the afternoon - other barkeeper though.

The hotel was near to the city centre. The room had a good size and comfortable bed. Breakfast staff was friendly and welcoming. In overall it was worth to stay for a night.

When we entered the room, the smell was terrible. It smelt that the toilet was not flashed for a long time. We opened the window to have a fresh air. The carpet had stains on it, curtains need to be washed more often and the colour of the towels were greyish instead of white. Attention to details the hotel needs to pay. Will I stay again? If the mentioned points will be improved, yes!

What a fab location for all of the sites. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Any minor issues were rectified immediately. Breakfast - there is so much on offer that was good, we did not know where to start. Reserve a healthy appetite for the morning! The bed was so comfy that I slept through everything and we were near the lift! Normally when I stay in hotels, it takes me a while to settle, but not here! Room was lovely and looked out onto the street so I could people watch.

There is nothing to dislike.

The location of the hotel is amazing, you can walk anywhere. The public transport is also easily accessible. The hotel staff is great, they were really helpful. Perfect hotel if you're spending less then a week in Budapest.

It's not easy to find bad sides, but if I have to choose something it would be the inability to reserve a parking spot for guests. There's a garage next to the hotel, and we were able to find a free spot easily, but in reality it might happen that you arrive and can't find a free spot there. Also, it would be nice to have slightly wider selection of food for breakfast, though the food quality was actually quite good.

I liked the overall vibe of the hotel. The staff was always friendly, ready to help when needed, always greeted with a smile. The hotel was relatively close to all the places we planned to attend.

We asked for an extra bottle of water when the room was cleaned. We were told that we were given one bottle per stay and not per night. We thought it was not okay due to the price we paid for the stay especially for a respectful hotel chain like the Hilton to come up a with a decision like this one.

Location was great, only a short walk to the city centre and very close to shops and some restaurants. Good breakfast and staff was nice.

The interior of the room was a bit old, also things like an empty tissue box were a bit annoying. Room didn’t smell so nice, but the room size was ok and the bed was comfortable.

Central location in close proximity to all major attractions, public transportation and amenities. Very quiet and secure. Offers parking (19€) which is underground and monitored. Staff was very polite and helpful. Called taxi for us multiple times and always prompt with all our requests. Couldn’t be happier with our stay. Will be coming back.

Complimentary breakfast would’ve been a good perk.

Location handy for basilica and other points of interest, good location for Al fresco eating bars. Good location to walk towards river and to get your bus. Liked the outdoor sitting area at front of hotel

Liked all hotel what I could see. Would’ve been nice to go onto roof terrace but was closed due to safety I believe. There wasn’t anything to dislike

Well located close to main streets and city center, basilica and Danube river. Underground parking. Professional and kind staff, Rooms have been as expected and same as 2 years ago when we were there. Breakfast is standard.

Climate control in our bedroom was not working. We had to wait 24h and claim it 3 times to obtain maintenance and fixation. Breakfast juices are really bad and chemics only. Coffee machines are sometimes not working, not filed up as team is not checking.
