Hotel Smeraldo

Hotel Smeraldo was a nice experience to us. As mentionned by others, it's not a new hotel anymore, but facilities are many, and it's well situated in quiet areas close to the center of Abano Terme, which is a very nice city to grown up people. The city has many shops, restaurants and nice streets to walk around. At the hotel, we specially liked the pool area in the garden, the heated waters and cleanliness everywhere. Also staff was nice, helpfuld and friendly and breakfast simple, but satisfying.

It was my second time at this hotel and everything was fine this time and the staff was professional and polite. The gentleman at the reception was very helpful. Very nice pool area. This time even the bar at the pool was open and it was so nice to get a drink to enjoy. The bar tender speaks fluently german and was nice to talk to. Hotel has perfect location in Abano. Just a short walk to the city. CLeaning stuff very polite and friendly. Water gymnastic at the pool was fun to join. I asked for a room with view to the Collie' Euganei which I got and it was a very pleasant stay. Air condition worked very well. All was good this time ! Fast check in and the day i had to check out the hotel offered me to use my room longer without extra costs, which was very nice of them, Check out time was at eleven and I had a lunch invitation in Abano at 12.30 so they allowed me to keep my room for 1,5 hours longer without billing me. Thank you very much, I really appreciated that !. I will definetly come again.

I had very loud nighbours one night. The children woke me up around 5 in the morning and they were crying until 7.30. I went downt to reception to let know and they checked it for me and told me this family will only stay one night, so I said okay. The door to my balcony did not close corectly. Would be nice to have a small fridge at the room. Breakfast staff was diligent. The men were professional and polite, but the lady was a little grumpy and very unhygienic. She chewed her fingernail and later touched the bread and croissants with bare hands. She should use gloves ! I had only coffee that morning and some fruits.

Structure is a bit '80s style

The staff are all kind, the swimming pools are clean, and the rooms are comfortable, and the location is nice because it's near the center

It supposed to have a minibar (a small fridge) in the room that was missing, very useful during the hot season to keep the drinks cool

Pool, bar, AC in the room is excelent. I reccomend you more new things like new and modern blankets and sheets. But very nice and polite personel! :)

More knowing of English language!

Unwelcoming staff, very rude. No WIFI!! ( you might be lucky to receive the wifi of nearby hotel network, all you need is a guest there to pass you the password 🙃)) Room was very basic, breakfast extremely crowded with only 1 employee to fill all guests plates. Poor value for money, will never stay here again.
