Grand Hotel Mediterranee

Booked the grand hotel mediterranee for my birthday (again) and it was an awesome stay as usual. Stayed in room 487 which was on the 4th floor and facing the sea front. The room was spacious with a minibar, AC and own balcony. The hotel has its own garage which costs 25 Euro a day. A very special THANKS to Lucia for being very attentive and making our stay very special!

Not much to complain. Just the breakfast area which still needs some improvements of choices and dedicated staff.

Cool location-just few steps from the sea. Large room. Breakfast area - it is ouside with an amazing sea view Beach arrangement. Allways clean, discret music, resonable distance between beds. Stylish comoon areas. High quality Spa cosmetics offered in the room. Frendly staff.

A bit outdated. Maybe should be a good ideea to change some room furniture pieces (including entrance room doors which are realy horribles; apparently looks nice, but during night we can see the light from the corridor..). Too expensive in respect of the general aspect of everything.

Lovely room with great view and easy access to beach. Sun beds very well spread out. Great beach restaurant for lunch. Staff were all charming. Good breakfast. Perfect place for à relaxing weekend.

No coffee machine in room. Only a kettle and PAPER cups! Terrible hair dryer that was not fit for purpose. Smoke alarm right above the bed had a bright green light that flashed all night. Hopeless water pressure in the shower.

Excellent service and friendly staff. Very helpful and accommodating (once they let me sneak in our very little dog for breakfast). Location of hotel perfect.

In the bathroom very little room to place stuff. Unfortunately breakfast was changed to indoor which does not allow dogs (don't get me wrong i understand that) so we were forced to have breakfast outside of the hotel as our dog does not like to stay alone in the hotel room.

The hotel is magnificent, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, the room a decent size and bathroom was spacious and beautiful. The fridge and daily bottles of water very much appreciated! Breakfast terrace was lovely by the sea.

Air conditioning in the room apparently works when windows are closed but I couldn’t feel it, and it cannot be adjusted in the room - not convinced. The plugs in the room were the old Italian plugs, not European standard. The reception staff were able to provide me with a special adapter - thanks goodness. So I had at least one plug to charge my phone. Still, not ideal though. Noise between rooms was very apparent, but I suppose the authenticity of a hotel from the 50s and all its charm comes with its downsides :) The pool was closed due to covid measures - unfortunate. The deck chairs on the beach were still charged at full price for guests, given the pool closure a reduced fee would have been appreciated.

A nice hotel with a perfect location in Alassio. Very happy with the breakfast, fresh fruit, cakes etc was all behind a counter served to you. Hot drinks served at the table, very much appreciated. The hotel has exceptional staff. The room was very well cleaned every day. The hotel has a bar whit an interesting choice of drinks and cocktails, and again extraordinary nice staff.

The hotel is very nice and staff super friendly (Thank you Aira and Rocco, you guys are amazing). The hotel has a own beach with possibility of renting parasol and deck chairs (2x) for 40 euros per day. Breakfast was huge and outside, with a wonderful sea view. The hotel has a private parking and is located 5 min walk from the city center of Alassio.

The double bed consists of 2 single beds that come apart every 5 minutes.

We stayed in a room with balcony and seaview. The room was reasonably quiet, despite having a road and the sea promenade directly outside. The location of the hotel is very good and it is great to have direct beach access. It is slightly outside the very busy Alassio town centre, but still within easy walking distance to the restaurants and night life. The breakfast was served next to the promenade and the choice of food was good.

The room was quite small and decorated in the old, traditional style. The hairdryer was out-dated. What disturbed us most, however, was that the beach access gate was open only from 9 a.m. in the morning. We like to swim before breakfast and would have appreciated the gate being open from 7 a.m. The price for spending a day on the beach with sun umbrella and sunbeds was high (Euro50/day) and the parking was also quite expensive (Euro 25/day). That adds up to quite a hefty sum in addition to the room cost.

Staff was perfect, all of the more than ten people who were there to greet and serve us. The room was spotless as if no one had ever been there before us .. whole hotel and exterior adjoining areas were beautiful and spotless and lovely to see. Beach was not active because season is not here yet, but the views were extraordinary and thrilling to see…close to all shopping and restaurants etc. We loved it all!!
