Grand Hotel Arenzano

- Clean room - Nice pool - On-site and safe parking (at a charge of €15 per day) - Close to train station and local bars / restaurants

- Towel hook on bathroom door was broken with no where else to hang your towel to dry. - Swimming pool is a little over 6 foot deep all over and no shallow area - also no indicator around the pool to say the depth. Not ideal when you don’t like to be out of your depth when swimming. - Safe in room decided to randomly not recognise our code so we couldn’t get our stuff out. Needed to ask Reception to sort it out immediately. In all fairness, they did fix it very quick. - No weights in the gym as shown in the booking.com photo which was disappointing. - Breakfast is a little chaotic and a table was never made up when we arrived. Always needed to find our own cutlery or ask for it.

Beautiful building in the middle of the Italian riviera with super helpful and positive staff. We enjoyed every moment of our stay, especially waking up in the morning looking at the sea and enjoying the sunshine directly out of our bed. At breakfast you can find a lot of local specialities and also international ones which are all delicious. The rooms are modern and very clean, the mattress was ultra comfortable and seems to be new. Important: Check the hotel internet site, since they give you better pricing as Booking!

Absolutely nothing to complain about. We were staying in many hotels globally and this is a really good one!

Loved hearing the ocean waves when opening the window and seeing the beautiful view. The breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly.

I would have loved for the spa to be included in the price, and I kind of expect that of a 4 star hotel. Of course I'm happy to pay for the treatments but I think in a hotel like this the actual sauna and pool should be included in the price.

The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was varied with plenty of fresh fruit. The location is excellent and the room was small but very clean. The parking service was appreciated.

Perhaps for a 4 star hotel you would have expected to have a bath robe provided. Due to the fact that the hotel is an old villa the rooms aren't very sound proof and you can hear people in the other rooms as well traffic on the road in front - but this is unavoidable.

Truly a grand hotel. The staff are very professional, the furniture and decor is up to date and attractive, the breakfast is exceptionally good and the restaurant is sound. Parking is on site but costs 15 euros per day. The hotel is well located for motorways and nearby restaurants and faces the sea. We enjoyed our stay.

There is some road noise in the bedrooms but it’s not a serious problem. This is a big stylish hotel so might not appeal to those preferring a small cosy hôtel.

Position in the town and easily accessible from the autoroute. Friendly staff, great room and facilities, super pool. Excellent breakfast.

Pool bar service not as slick as the rest of the hotel but still friendly. Moody lighting in the evening made it difficult to see for anything other than having a drink. Disappointed to find a 90’s wall mounted hairdryer in the room which didn’t match the rest of the quality.

great location, lovely room and view, breakfasts were superb, grounds and pool really excellent, and most of the staff thoroughly professional and very helpful indeed, we were made to feel very welcome and people were really helpful in ensuring we enjoyed our stay.

Fabulous old style Grand Hotel. Excellent breakfast. Large rooms. Great beds. Superb air conditioning.

The pool has no shallow end for kids etc. A uniform 2 metres depth and no hand rail is unusual.

Attentive staff! The pool is deep. Good location, beautiful view. The evening at the bar on Sunday sang a good singer, she made the atmosphere romantic.

If you stay on the first floor you can hear the noise of the road.

The room was beautiful, the view was just amazing! The bathroom had a sea view too and you just cannot stop taking the shower because of the view. Personnel was helpful and friendly. Massage in the spa was good.

The windows were not cleaned, neither in the room nor in the restaurant. It was a bit noisy even with the windows closed.
