Airporthotel Verona Congress & Relax

If you are not interested in staying in the historic city center, there is NO better choice than the Airport Hotel Verona. Starting with the polite and friendly staff at the reception (unfortunately I do not remember the name of the young receptionist on the afternoon of March 3 and the morning of March 4). Absolute cleanliness (bed linen, towels, etc.), modern and comfortable rooms and beds, high quality and rich variety of breakfast (many congratulations to the breakfast staff). We will definitely prefer it on a next visit to Italy or on a crossing to the Norh. Congrats!

Although there was a large desk in the room, there was no chair. This minor omission does not in any way affect the overall excellent score.

The room was spacious + comfortable. We made use of the free shuttle to the airport terminal at 5AM on the day of our departure (Note that you need to book a spot on the shuttle beforehand since it is a small vehicle). The restaurant in the lobby was reasonably priced for an airport hotel.

Be advised that the cost to get to the hotel from the terminal via a cab is very high, i.e., approximately 15 euros, despite the fact that the hotel is only a 2-3 minute drive from the terminal. The cab services apparently start all fares at 10 euro the moment you set foot in the vehicle.

The location was great, so close to the airport. It was great to have the free shuttle bus to and from the airport, as well as to the local trade fair. The room was very clean. Great to have a kettle and mini bar which I used as a mini fridge. Pleased that the Spa was operating and I used it on my last day. The pool was wonderful. The hotel staff were very helpful. The hotel was really close to a large supermarket and sports shop. The local bus stop which goes into the city wasn't far away either.

The bed was a little too hard for my preference, especially after 3 nights. The shower was cold one morning. The room was a little too hot on the first night and the air con wasn't working until May.

I liked the room, the bed was very comfortable. Very nice shower too! There was a nice pool in the hotel, I had good swim. Tasty breakfast in the morning!

I asked the reception to turn on sauna for me at specific time and I was coming back to check on it, but sauna stayed cold for all the time I've been at the pool. I think they just forgot to turn it on for me unfortunately. I booked the airport shuttle for next morning and it was on time. But the driver didn't bring me and other passengers to the airport doors, he dropped us far-far away, 2 big parking lots away from the airport and we had to walk with suitcases all this distance to the airport. That was not nice to be honest. Hopefully it can be changed in the future, cause this service is less nice than expected.

Perfect hotel to stay in close to the airport as we had an early flight home the following morning. Got the airport transfer bus from Verona Train station out to the airport, contacted the hotel staff, and they sent a driver to pick us up. Then booked a transfer back to the airport for the following morning. Fantastic. Hotel had a lovely pool in the basement which was perfect for a last relaxation after our journey. Room was very clean, staff were lovely, and the bar/restaurant served very nice drinks and food.

Breakfast had a great selection. Front desk clerk that greeted us at check in was very nice.

However the girls at the breakfast desk did not give great service. We asked for coffees, no smile, it's like we were putting them out ! There were no sheets on the bed, only a coverlet. We arrived late, there were no taxis, & your shuttle service was unavailable, which was unfortunate... when we did get a taxi, we were ripped off big time! Shuttle just dumped us off... we told we wanted to go to the Car Rentals... told go over there... it was a long ways away!

Efficient check-in. It is a typical large airport hotel and serves its purpose well. The room was large and clean, with all the usual facilities for a four-star hotel. The free shuttle service to and from the airport was convenient and timeous. Overall, it was a pleasant stay over for the night before an early flight.

It was a little soulless even for an airport hotel and could do with some brightening up through artwork in the rooms and common areas. A better physical description of the shuttle pick-up point as well as the map sent, might be helpful for guests not familiar with the airport.

We arrived late in the evening due to a flight delay. The night officer was helpful and charming and did his utmost to make sure we were comfortable in our rooms and delivered a bottle of wine and glasses to our room as the bar was closed. He was also careful to ensure that the room suited my needs (as a disabled traveller). The breakfast was varied and plentiful. Coffee good, a high chair for our toddler and friendly staff who kept the counters clean and replenished.

Parts of the room were a bit worn, eg the sofa.

One night stay before flight home. Location - less than a 10min drive to the airport, we dropped off hire car and walked back in under 30min. Staff helpful and friendly. We arrived early, room was ready for us. Room was quiet, spotless, good size, good bathroom with usual amenities. We had an excellent dinner at the on-site restaurant - a large rib of beef that was perfectly cooked, breakfast was also good. On site shuttle.

Room was a bit warm, air con wouldn’t go below 20c. The free shuttle was a bonus but the driver unhelpfully didn’t drop us at departures, it was outside the airport near the rental car terminal - not ideal in the rain and a good 10min walk to departures with luggage.

Good location of the hotel and accessible parking in front of the hotel, nice size of the room with a 55" TV and plenty of programmes. It is also clean.

Not enough choice for breakfast and strange interrogation from the staff when we entered the breakfast buffet. They didn't believe our room number saying this room number is not possible. Even when we showed them the room card, they wanted to know my name. No apology at the end when they realised it was their mistake which left us feel like criminals or thieves.
