I had a very big room with a gigantic bed it was so comfortable it was hard to get up in the morning. Loved how modern it was. My room even had a balcony so cute. Location was in the middle of La Spezia which is not such a interesting/nice city to stay in but it was perfect to reach all the nice beaches, cinque terra and small towns by car, bus or boat. So recommend to stay there just because of the amazing hotel and how comfortable it is. Parking was easy to find in the streets no need to park in there garage and pay the double. There is a park app called easy park app makes it easy to just park in the street. Dog friendly very helpful. Again the room on the 3rd floor 316 was big very comfortable, def a big plus on my trip.

The internet was very slow, also they did not mention the park app but send me to a tabac store to buy the parking ticket which I did the first day and it felt like I am playing the lottery. Could have also payed on the street machine. It was very environmental friendly which I highly appreciated but then they had plastic cups in the room instead of real glasses.

The hotel is great. Very friendly helpful personnel. Modern, fresh, clean big rooms. Very good noise isolation. Excellent breakfast. 10 mins walking to the restaurants and the harbour. 6 mins walk to the train station. I would definitively come back if I travel to Spezia. Very good value for the money. Perfect to visit Cinque Terre.

The room was a bit warm. It felt like the air conditioning was not on in the hotel or could not be stirred from the room.

The Poet hotel is in a great location. Close to the main strip, train and ferry for Cinque Terre. It is a bit different to other places we have stayed in Italy. Shops and restaurants open and close earlier. The room we stayed in was spacious and modern. We had a lovely terrace that we made good use of. The shower is the best one we've had this trip. Great shower head. The bed was very comfortable too.The breakfast was great. Lots of choice and great coffee. The staff were very friendly and helpful

The hotel supports Trafalgar so getting a table for breakfast can be difficult if you go down for opening. It is worth the wait

Top location. The train station is about 5 min walk away. The city center, shopping stores, church, restaurants, ... etc, are only a few steps away from the hotel. Our junior suite was big enough for 3 people. The design of the hotel is modern and extravagant. Very good breakfast. Many of the guests do not know or dare to ask for extra requests. e.g. boiled egg or fried egg, latte, espresso, etc.. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Be sure to reserve parking if you have a car. The price is 30€/day, but it's worth it if you take a closer look at the Italian cars on the street.

Some minuses are unfortunately: 1. WiFi, is pretty lame to pretty bad in the room. 2. no closet in the room (thanks to design strategy). 3. despite eco-advertising, still plastic cups instead of glasses in the room.

Room itself was great. Accommodations well, Inside the room. Shower was amazing pressure. Breakfast was delicious and extremely accommodating. I also forgot to pay on the way out and they were diligent and patient.

Better view than alleyway & other building would’ve been nice but that’s OK. I get it. You can’t change where it’s located. Shower Did splash all over the place though. that was the only problem for us, mostly concrete to dry quickly. And I have a bad back at this when did heard it. Only comparison is the hotel I stayed in some else. We’re on the same trip. It felt great so not sure why. No biggie though. Would have like a couple English channels, or at least access to Netflix.

We arrived mid-morning with hopes of leaving our bags so we could visit the Cinque Terre and then come back later to check in. I’ll admit that I was mildly stressed over this, never having visited Italy before. Whenever we asked if we could store the bags the wonderful staff member at the desk offered to let us check in early. This was so appreciated! The room was comfortable, the temperature was perfect sine we were able to adjust, the beds were just right and we love the awesome shower! The front desk was happy to arrange a taxi for us after we enjoyed the best breakfast that we’ve had in our two-week trip to Europe. When we return, we will definitely book The Poet!

There were many things we loved about this property. it was very clean! All of the furnishings were very nice as well. The only thing that I wasn’t as pleased with was the fact that I found the beds to be rather firm, however that is a very hard thing to satisfy each and every person on as everyone has different preferences. The hotel was very kind in allowing us to store our luggage there free of charge even after check out. We had the room that was pretty much right at the top of the stairs, so the noise level was a little high. I didn’t specify any different though and that would happen anywhere. So if you’re easily disturbed by noise at night, request a higher floor!

What a gem of a hotel. It has a lovely, young vibe and is very clean and efficiently run. No complaints at all. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming and helpful. The location is perfect - just five minutes from the train station and main “high streets”, less than minutes from the harbour/marina. And so many shops and restaurants in between.

Although drinks are available at reception, and there is a sitting area, there isn’t a formal bar for people to gather on an evening.

Fantastic hotel in a great location, close to the train station and the main part of the city. The staff were all amazing, helpful, kind and professional. The hotel itself was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was great with a lot of selection. We had a twin room with a balcony which was fabulous. Added bonus was that we could link the TV in the room to our Netflix account and watch a movie in bed.

Honestly there was nothing I didn’t like.

Property was amazing very Morden and cool interior staff were lovely very friendly. Rooms were very clean and tidy view from my rooms wasn’t great but I did go for the cheaper option as we weren’t planning on being in the room to much but room was a decent size very modern interior great shower and bathroom facilities. tv had access to Netflix which was great feature. incase any days we’re ruined by the unlucky rain days!. breakfast was a buffets style £15 per head unless you’ve booked already. Food was very nice. great choice of products recommend the raspberry marmalade croissants! small selection of teas and coffees are out but stay will make you a coffee y of your choice Café latte or cappuccino or any others so very good breakfast probs best one wee had on our trip.

location wasn’t great La Spezia city more than the hotels actual location this hotel itself. the poet hotel wouldn’t be out of place in any big major European cities very cool modern interior and great prices can’t really pick any other problems with it.
