Hotel is on the first floor in an old building but fitout seems to be quite new. Very spacious room compared to some, lots of space to put things, hanging space, spacious bathroom, good shower, heaters so towels were warm. Good breakfast included. Staff pleasant and helpful including checking us in early. The location is good as it is walking distance to the ferry to Villa San Giovanni, lots of restaurants close by.

The only downside is that it was noisy at night. The windows aren't double glazed or even sealed particularly. If that could be fixed this would be a great hotel.

The staying was good from the beginning till the end. First of all, super nice cozy design and clean rooms. Wonderful view on the sea from the room and from the breakfast room. Secondly, the people working there are so hospitable, always kind, with a smile. It’s a sheer pleasure to communicate with them. The breakfast is also very nice, the owners again try their best and offer not just dazzling amount of pastries, but also some salty things and kindly make for you your morning cappuccino, fresh orange juice ecc. So, all in all, we had the best experience possible!

This B&B is in a central location very close to the old town. It’s a shortish walk from the coach and bus station making it very convenient. Fabio the host was extremely helpful and thoughtful, responding quickly to all my messages, and letting us leave our bags when we arrived early and our room wasn’t quite ready. The room was immaculately clean, and had a balcony with a wonderful view of the sea. Everything you could want was available including a hairdryer and shower gel. The air conditioning was very effective which we appreciated as it was very hot. Breakfast was the best we had in Sicily: the young staff were very helpful, the room light and airy with a great view, and the choice for breakfast was impressive. Grazie Fabio and your staff.

It was a little noisy at night, but we were expecting that as it’s a busy port. Nothing Fabio can do about that! The metal shutter on the window certainly helped.

What a find this place was. So lovely and clean, friendly staff, good location and very good breakfast, which consisted of buffet style bread, croissants, brioche, eggs and yogurts plus ham and cheese if you wanted it.p, along with a nice coffee. Location is directly opposite the docks where the cruise ships come in so be prepared for a huge ship directly across the street if you face that direction! It’s central for the sites of Messina and about 10 minutes walk from the railway station.

loved everything communication excellent. check in was so welcoming. even though my train was very delayed. my room had a balcony and waterfront port view. magical room was very clean. everything functioned with thoughtful touches bed super comfy wifi excellent breakfast so good. coffee superb lovely breakfast room with harbour view lovely decor throughout property location easy flat walk from train. historic church across road and duomo with astrological clock one minute walk excellent map provided very good value for money

very minor but soundproofing between room poor. no problem as quiet person next door but could be a problem as even normal conversation could be heard like a microphone in room.

We were staying in Messina for one night to catch a train and needed accommodation near the train station. Garibaldi R&B was a 12 minute easy walk to station. it is also near cafes and restaurants as well as historical sites and the beautiful cathedral. We enjoyed walking in the area admiring architecture of buildings. The accommodations were great-comfortable rooms, great beds, large windows with roller blinds, heated , lots of storage, nice shower. The breakfast staff were wonderful offering a range of options in lovely room overlooking harbour. Our party had 2 rooms and everyone was pleased. Would definitely recommend and wish we had stayed longer.

There is weird smell in lobby of building and no smells at all in the B&B.

Very well appointed B&B right in the heart of Messina. Very comfortable and clean. Fabio and team were ubber friendly and helpful. The reasonably priced private transfer to the airport was very comfortable and convenient. Breakfast was ok for the price. The location is perfect for sight seeing, right beside the historic centre.

The B&B is on a main road and traffic is noisy until about 11:00 at night. However, we didn't find this a issue sleep wise - everything was fairly quiet by mid-night.

An outstanding B&B right by the harbour, with some views having balconies that overlook it. Fabio and his staff are excellent, and really make you feel welcomed from the moment you book. Our room was excellent, with a comfortable bed and a good shower. The breakfast was also quality. It is a 10 minute walk from the harbour and train station, and you are next to all of the attractions the city has to offer. If you are staying in Messina this is the place to be.

The staff are very welcoming and informative, He explains all we need to know about the facilities and other stuff and allows us to take our breakfast early before their usual time. 👍👍👍

Maybe the soundproofing? It is not good enough since We clearly hear all the noise coming from the corridors and the room beside us. Nevertheless the place is clean with a very good view from the terrace

The location was on a busy street in Mesina, but we had no problem because it was on the third floor and pretty quiet - no problem with car noise, etc. It seemed to be a very new B&B - sparkling clean , very comfortable, very nice hosts and a very typical European breakfast. We were taking the ferry to the mainland and it was a very short and easy way to the dock. The hosts were very friendly and we can recommend the B&B.
