Everything was excellent
Public transport in the area is non existent. We had assumed the hotel would be able to give us details of taxis so we could visit places we wanted to see. However, there is absolutely no taxi service either. We ended up having to hire a car. Not the hotel’s fault but the locality is crying out for a transport service.

Breakfast is great! Location is perfectly situated overlooking the towns, within walking distance. View of beautiful mountain scenery is so refreshing.. The staff are always cheerful and very helpful and well run!

Location worked well for us.
We were in Oliveto Citra for a family reunion which was wonderful beyond words. The hotel we were at was somewhat disappointing. The pool was closed and we were never notified of the closure prior to our stay. Also I made reservations originally for two but on booking it came up for one person. I emailed the property weeks in advance, that my daughter would be with me. The hotel never responded or contacted me there would be additional charges until I arrived. The staff person said he was so sorry and gave me a lengthy explanation how the hotel did not require additional fees, that it was not the rule of the hotel, and the hotel had no problem with my daughter staying, but it was the rule of booking.com to charge an additional amount for a second person. I contacted booking.com the site where I made my reservation, and booking.com informed me, it is up to the discretion of the hotel to charge extra for a second person. The staff’s explanation was fabricated. Additionally, We were given a small room with one bed, that had the most uncomfortable mattress that I ever slept on in a hotel. Between the closed pool, the poor mattress and the false narrative about extra fees from booking.com, I would’ve booked at another location. Also by the way we had two friends at the hotel, who were staying in a huge room with multiple beds for less then what we were charged. Breakfast was good and other staff we interacted with were professional.

When asking reception for assistance we found that both Angelo and Raffaele were very helpful. We also found our rooms 206 and 207 to be very clean.
We were disappointed that the swimming pool was closed when we arrived on September 19th when the outside temperature was 28-30 degrees C. Not sure that I will be returning this hotel again as one female member of the reception staff were unfriendly. Which is a shame as we have stayed at this hotel before.
