Mariano IV Palace Hotel

The adjoining Hotel Restaurant "Blao" is extremely convenient, and serves excellent food/wine. But it pays to book at Reception - as one night it was completely booked. In the event of it being fully booked we would recommend the nearby "Ristorante La Brace" and "Ristorante da SID" on via Figoli (although the former does not have conventional paper menus, so it is a pain on the mobile to see what is on offer!) Samuele on Reception was always very helpful. Indeed all reception staff were excellent, although some breakfast room staff were not that communicative (a language thing perhaps). The day we took the train to Cagliari it was pouring down and the Hotel loaned us an umbrella for the day.

The shower doors left a gap through which water leaked on to the floor, and on the final night the air conditioning didn't work. "Fruit juice" very disappointing - powdered type.

The location is perfect, in the heart of Oristano and great if you want to attend the Sartiglia, access the best restaurants and get in and out of the city with ease. Rooms are comfortable and clean, and whatever is missing, the staff will provide for in a matter of minutes. The staff is indeed what makes the difference in this hotel: incredibly polite, friendly, thorough, and very helpful. Breakfast was very good for this kind of accommodation. The rooms are comfortable and clean.

The rooms are a bit outdated and the entire property would benefit with a refurbishment to give it a more modern look.

Parking is a little bit of a problem, you can only park in the street in the white marked spaces, and these fill up very quickly, the blue marked spaces are available but only on weekend and til midnight……so if in a car be aware that all the other surrounding parking available is for max 15 minute stays…..

When arrived I had a room at the end of the hotel and I could hear the sound of music from the nearby apartment. They changed it, although they were almost full. Very kind and supportive. The hotel is old-fashioned and very nice. Oristano was the center of an autonomous region with a great tradition and keeps going - far from touristic coast. Relaxed atmosphere, with a wonderful nearby cafè-library in front of the statue of Eleonora d'Arborea

What a super hotel. All the staff were exceptionally helpful especially the reception and restuarant staff. The food was excellent in the restaurant and well worth the cost. Not expensive at all. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The hotel in in the centre and well placed to stroll in the old town.

Nothing all good.

It is a grand old hotel showing its age but quite serviceable with a hospitable and helpful staff. Built around a grassy courtyard complete with swing set and staff, there is very adequate breakfast. it is a 3 minute walk to the old city. It has an associated adjacent restaurant that is excellent.

Other than a little faded, there is nothing significant to dislike.

Good location to explore Oristano. The breakfast selection was very good! The staff were exceptional. I left my purse in the taxi and they helped me retrieve it. I am so grateful to them (and also the taxi driver who drove to my new location to return my purse)!!

The noise of the air-conditioning

Fab Room !!! Exellent Breakfast Buffet!!! Reception Staff Ottimo ! location , 800 metri dalla train station and 300 meters from Oristano Old Tower , monuments and Shopping area and Lots of Cafes Restaurants and pubs .

Nice hotel - probably best in the city, great breakfast, nice restaurant part of the hotel. Good location in the centre. Staff was helpful. A small courtyard in a hotel for those who prefer not to sit inside.

The breakfast buffet was served by a staff so took a bit longer but looks like this is required under covid - no chance to make your plate on your own even though it is a buffet. This was same in all hotels I stayed at.
