Hotel Laurin

The staff is amazing! Very helpful In every way. The location was absolutely perfect! Location, location, location!!! The view from our huge balcony was stunning!

The room was plain and basic. Very clean but just had 3 twin beds lined up in a row. Beds were very firm and uncomfortable. Like a pull out. A little loud during the day with all the traffic.

Loved everything.

Hotel Laurin is in a excellent location. I would give it a 5 star just for location. In attached to a acient castle or fortress ruin. It is located in the heart on Santa Margherita facing the Marina. Its the same Marina you would go to get a boat taxi or ferry to Portofino. We had a room with a very large private balcony. It was also located next to many restaurants, bars and small shops. One of the best features about its location is that it was close to two of the bus stops that take you to Portofino! The kids and my husband loved the pool and the staff was friendly and accomodating.

The only thing I did not like was that you could be charged to change the pool towels if you request clean ones sooner than a few days. Keep in mind it is a small hotel and its maybe economical for them to do that so people don't waste or displace their pool towels.

Location was perfect. In the center of all the action. Staff were amazing, can’t say enough about all of them, front desk, breakfast, housekeeping. They helped me get a credit card couriered to me that I left at a hotel several cities ago. Pool was great overlooking harbor. Breakfast was good.

I thought it a bit pricey comparatively but would stay they again if I could get a better price. Pillows were hard as a rock.

Breakfast was excellent. Fresh croissants, excellent espresso. Fresh fruit, meats, etc. One of the best hotel breakfasts in quality. Location is prime. Room was clean. Even though location was directly facing the busiest street, you couldn’t hear noise in our room which was a big plus.

Not kid friendly hotel. Staff was friendly but very annoyed with kids. Manager was passive aggressive but fixed a problem anyway. About 500 euro a night definitely not worth that type of money, however I understand it’s high season. Elevator very small. They only allow one person in the gym at a time.

Great location, staff very kind, large room

A note said you cannot use the minibar to store things not provided by the hotel. Nothing was provided except two small water bottles never replenished. I find this rule ridicolous and cheap, not in line with the hotel class

Incredible location walking distance from the main train station, great restaurants, bars, and right on the water. We walked to Portofino for the day which is amply about 5k. The rooftop pool was a nice feature (especially since it was the middle of July and very hot). Our room faced the water with a nice terrace where we had our morning coffees. Hotel breakfast had a good variety of options and was always fresh. Overall really really nice.

A little bit outdated but the staff was always working hard to keep everything clean and tidy.

Location, staff, cleanliness, breakfast - very happy with all of them. Found everything I needed in the room, which was big enough and had a balcony and beautiful view to the harbour. Rented an e-bike and the reception staff was always there to help me to get it in to the small storage room nearby where I could keep it the whole week. In the picture you can see the hotel with the long orange marquess.

The sea view from my balcony was absolutely beautiful and location of the hotel was excellent. The rooftop pool area had a lovely view and I enjoyed lunch up there one day.

Would have enjoyed a kettle to make tea in my room although I was able to take my own mug downstairs and the lovely barman would give me boiling water any time I asked.

Beautiful view of the harbour. Very helpful staff on reception and domestic/cleaning staff were helpful with local shops and places to go. Brilliant location. Pretty much all you need.

The swimming pool is tiny. It's not much bigger than a bath but it is on the rooftop with great views and perfect to cool off . It's not one to do lengths in. The room design is pretty basic and you are paying because of the location but I'd definitely return.
