Perfect location in the town of Sorrento, with a lot of great restaurants nearby particularly the wonderful, family-owned traditional Italian restaurant immediately behind it. Everything is reachable by walking for shopping, eating, path down towards the beach, tour booking company nearby, and the bus stop to Amalfi coast. Front desk reception person was so helpful. Room was clean, beautiful, had everything you need, including complimentary water. One of the best European hotels at very reasonable price. Actually perfect stay and completely unnecessary to go to Positano or Amalfi.

Maybe would be helpful to instruct guests that the entry to the hotel is in the back alley as we were misdirected by our driver to walk along the shops and struggled to find the hotel based on Google Maps direction.

Excellent location, with the balcony facing Corso Italia and 100m away from Piazza Tasso (the main square of Sorrento). The room was modern and cozy, and the bed very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and available.

We had our room on the first floor and during the night we could clearly hear noises from the street and in the morning all the staff talking. It is the only big negative aspect of the stay: too many noises during sleeping time that were not pleasant at all.

Super location, very helpful receptionists, spacy room.

We got the top floor room where the ceiling was partly very low and we kept hitting our heads. One night we even heard a guest from the next room hit his head really hard and scream from pain. The walls of our room were very dirty and should be properly washed or repainted. It would be nice for the hotel in their welcome message to inform the ferry customers of the city elevator up the cliff cause we did not know about it and dragged our overweight luggage up the hills and were completely exhausted upon arrival. Also, the address mentioned on booking.com (Via S.M. Della Pietà 33) leads to the wrong place on Google Maps.

Staff were excellent and location was ideal since we could have easy access but watch the world go by too. We also saw the procession for the religious festival from our balcony which was quite special.

Bathroom was very small and a little outdated but clean. Room was small and although there was some hanging space there was not really room for the bags which we just had to keep walking around

Clean and comfortable. Lovely staff. Good communication.

Attic room. Only had skylight window and one very small high window in the room. Standing space limited due to attic roof/ceiling configuration. Footstool for seating. This was not communicated to us in our booking. Had I known all this we would have paid to be able to see outside and stand up next to the bed.

The location was very good for shopping, dining and could walk to the bus and train center. The front desk was very helpful. One thing I really liked. There was no key, you had a combination to your room, so no keeping up with that. Personally, my daughter and I found it secure and safe.

Staff was the best part of the whole stay. From suggesting great restaurants to advice about our daily adventures to always making sure we had everything we needed. Elena even realized that we left our passports in the safe and contacted us within minutes to make sure we didn’t get on the train without them!! Whole heartedly recommend Palazzo Tasso and will stay there again.

Not a thing

Everything! The room was immaculate, the ammenities and location were all exceptional. The bathroom had a Dyson hair dryer with all attachments included as well - super boujee! And the bed was very comfy. My only let down was that I was staying for one night lol. I’ll be staying here when I visit Sorrento again for sure.

Literally nothing.

The staff were very helpful and answered all of our questions. They were also very kind and cheerful. The hotel was clean, well looked after and had an excellent location. It is in the centre of the downtown core and close to the water/restaurants/shopping, etc. The hotel also felt safe. We would come back here in a second.

Just a piece of advice to travellers, if you leave your patio door open at the top (hard to explain), you can get little ants in your room. Once we stopped opening the window, they weren’t coming in though. Other than that, I liked everything about the property. If it is in your budget, it’s a really excellent option. There are no views of the ocean though (but you’re only an 8 min walk from it anyways).

best location, modern room and clean.

no elevator available 24 hours had to take 2 suitcases 3 floors downstairs at 6 o’clock in the morning the day of leaving.Had to take the stairs to 3rd floor every night when came back to the hotel.I wouldn’t pay almost $500 a night with no use of elevator 24/7
