Best Western Hotel Turist

This hotel is in a great location - in the center of the city, right across from a landmark - the Mother Theresa Memorial House, just several steps down from Macedonia Square, about a 15-min walk to the bus station, walking distance to the Old Bazaar and other major sites. There are several restaurants nearby, especially around Macedonia Square and along the river (next to a mall), and several cafes and bars on the street where the hotel is located. It's an easy walk to Boemska Street with all its bars, restaurants, and cafes. My room was spacious, with a desk (which was important to me), a fridge, a comfortable bed, very good lighting (which isn't always the case in hotels), and a spacious bathroom. From my balcony, I had a view on the spectacular Konstantin and Elena Orthodox Church and on the promenade. The hotel staff deserve a special mention because of how friendly, professional, and helpful they were. All of them. There was a good selection for breakfast, everything that one would need to start a day right. Some things to keep in mind: 1) the hotel is located on a pedestrian-only promenade, which means that you need to walk a few steps to the hotel from drop-off at one of the two main streets, but a hotel cart can also take you and your luggage; 2) as in nearly all public places in Macedonia, smoking is allowed, so you will smell cigarette smoke on the premises; 3) there was no safe deposit box in the room, so you'd need to deposit your valuables probably in one at the reception. In sum, I would certainly stay here again (and I did. I booked it twice following some other travel).

I liked the overall decor of the room and the property. The room was equipped with everything including electric kettle, refrigerator, central air conditioning and a private spacious bathroom. I liked the staff at the reception especially the lady at the reception who was doing the night shift, she was very cooperative and well behaved. She showed me all the options of the available rooms I can choose from and also helped me in keeping my luggage till night after checkout on the next day.

The room size was a bit smaller. The location of the property was prime but it was in the corner so was a bit difficult to find as the google map was showing the property at a nearby location which was behind this property. Rest everything was nice and the property can be very well considered for staying in Skopje.

Helpful staff. Good location. Nice to have a ketle and a possibility to make tea / instant coffee in the room. A nice view onto the church and the Mother Teresa museum from the window. Good quality furniture.

In the corner of the room, one panel of the ceiling was missing, you could see wires and other installation. I believe, this doesn't cost a fortune to fix that, just needs attention. In the bathroom a napkin holder and a sanitary bag holder are installed, but all empty, which is kind if disappointing.

This is a perfectly located hotel in the center of Skopje. Many of the citys' attractions are within walking distance. My room was on the top floor and with balcony, it was quiet and without any disturbances. Room had a double bed and a small working desk and plenty of lamps and lights. Bathroom was functional and fairly clean. Water was running constantly in the toilet bowl. Staff at reception were nice and serviceminded. I did not have breakfast and cannot say anything abouts its quality. It was not included in the price. Cost 10 Euro extra, ca 600 denars. I found cheaper alternatives in nearby restarants.

Very professional staff (especially the one with whom we checked in - sorry, I do not know his name) and very friendly...which was not the case in the previous hotel we stayed in before coming here where they could not understand a simple joke. The rooms are big, the hotel is very quiet though in the city centre in one of the main pedestrian streets.

The breakfast hall was a little crowded. I would complain about customers, especially one who complained at the desk that his room had one spare bed and that it should be taken out. If I was the receptionist, it's not the bed that I would have removed but the customer.

Staff and manager very friendly and efficient. The hotel is ideally located in the center of the city, comfortable clean room, very nice bathroom.

The directions for getting to the hotel were bad, it's opposite the Mother Theresa Memorial and if the directions had said this finding the hotel would have been easy. But the directions did not say this and I spend 20 minutes walking around trying to find the hotel which is in a walking only area. The room was a little on the small side. The breakfast, while okay, could be much improved by having better coffee and fresh fruit juice.

Comfy bed, large room, nice view, very quiet, good value for money.Reasonable breakfast.

The inviting bathtub had no plug.After this was somehow sorted out, the water was simply not hot enough for filling it. Another annoying thing was the breakfast drinks.The juice was an undrinkable mix of sth, while the coffee was lukewarm and weak.Why a hotel of this quality provides great food but saves on the drinks is a mystery.Lucky next door you can get great espresso for €1.10 in a café. Also the AC, a relic of times gone by, requires long maneuvering by trial and error to get the right temperature.

The hotel is located in the very heart of the city - at the pedestrian area which also makes it a relatively quiet. The personnel was very understanding and willing to support as I was to arrive after midnight and they replied immediately and most positively on my request to keep the reservation until mu arrival. Easy going, smiling and professional!

I rated the general the hotel 9 out of 19 stars only because the interior was a bit out of fashion - the style was from about 10 years ago, but everything was nice and clean. The same interior actually can be regarded of better quality next to the modern cheaper one! The bathroom had a sparkling clean bath tub, towels were new and fresh, hot water and the shower were great!

The most important thing about this hotel is its location. It is in very central part of Skopje downtown, just in front of Mother Theresa birthday place. But don't miss it as it located on the side road as we actually passed by it two times before figuring out where it is. The room and breakfast are standard, it has lift which is convenient. The personnel was very nice, polite and helpful, actually we changed our plans on what to see and where to go as an outcome of our chat and do not regret that!

Even though the hotel and my room was non-smoking, since it is heated not by a radiator, but by conditioner, through the ventilation system cigarete smoke from outside was coming. This was really annoying. In the city smoking is allowed in restaurants, and even though they have non-smoking areas, this almost doesn't help at all. I happened to visit some 6 places which offered very good food, but the ventilation was too bad, so smoke everywhere.
