Hotel Araiza Mexicali

One thing I could definitely bring up is this time for my stay I was very happy to have a TV with an HDMI cord connection. Last time I stayed my rooms TV did not have the HDMI connection. This is important to be able to connect my streaming devices to watch my TV like back at home. Something small but important.

The pool was not heated this time :( Last visit in early December it was and that was a very important time with my kids. to able to swim. Also had to leave $100 US dollar as a deposit to play ping pong. Seemed little excessive.

Room which was a suite by the way... had a little bit of a funky smell when I checked in to it. I had some anti odor spray with me called ozium which is used often inside cars to get rid of lingering odors. Well after that.. room was awesome with the balcony and pool being my favorite aspects of the hotel. Also the staff are super friendly and they don't pressure like other hotels if your not able to make it out of the room right away.

Although I mentioned that staff was super friendly.. my first experienced at the hotel with different front desk clerks was not the Best. They were too serious and very much so had a xxxx up their butts. Super strict policies at check in and no leeway whatsoever. Which is weird because once your checked in they don't seen as strict about everything. Not too many dislikes believe it or not.

This was the 2nd time we stayed at Hotel Araiza and it was as delightful as the first. The location can't be beat for border its proximity to the border and there are many restaurants within walking distance. Although we tried one of those restaurants, we loved the one at the hotel and enjoyed some of the best sushi we've ever had in Mexico. The suites are spacious and the little bar is perfect for working or snacking as we like to bring food on the road. The staff is awesome! Each time we checked in, we had a bellman help us with the luggage. Roman was extremely helpful and offered suggestions in perfect English. Hotel Araiza is our new home in Mexicali!

The showers in two different rooms could be updated.

The Hotel location was great and close to the venue we were going, The room was clean and the bed so comfy. The personal service that they provided us was outstanding. The Mexican buffet offers a wide variety of delicious and mouthwatering food, everything we ate was fresh and delicious. We got to the restaurant at 9:00 am on Saturday and it wasn't busy but by 10:00 am it was full and with a wait of 20 to 30 min.

We had been told by several friends to have breakfast at the hotel. The breakfast did not disappoint. Our room was very roomy and confortable. Loved the fact that they had k-cups for coffee felt like home. Overall a great stay.

The coffee mugs in the room were a little small for my liking. Parking was very restricted, not enough space to park, we felt like we had to use an Uber service so we wouldn't loose our parking space. The menudo was not available until 8:30 am and we had to leave earlier to make the long Sunday line across the border.

Comfortable beds. Great location within the city, as well as a nice bar and buffet available inside the hotel. Good size gym with your basic hotel gym finds to get a quick workout in. Two sections with very nice pools.

The lighting in the room, esp in the bathroom was not the greatest. But, minor detail. Not enough to not want me to return.

Location is great. Close to a bunch of places to shop and eat. Nice and spacious room with everything one could want. Professional staff. The bell person was great ! He gave me tips about a bunch of things. Spoke very good English. Great breakfast buffet.

Water dispensing. The bathroom faucet and shower head were spewing water in a weird way. Needs to be cleaned or checked to have the constant flow one would expect from a 5 star property.

Property and amenities were good. I did enjoy the secured parking and how friendly the staff was.

Room amenities are becoming a bit dated unfortunately. A/C unit was loud and the T.V. was an older flat screen without current technology. Bath tub fixtures were coming apart and the ironing board was falling apart as well.

I’ve tried many other places for food and the buffet was way better.I really liked it!

The service by the front lady at checking her attitude toward me while booking compared to when she books a male customer .she is really friendly and nice to guys but not to me. But the other staff were great specially the service people.

we like that was a quiet place and safe

my son lost his AirPods and when I called to ask with the receptionist was guarded and stated: “is not here, and the room is occupied so we cant disturbe the new clients.” I was explained that the last location was on the hotel and didn’t gave me any solution or ask for my personal information if they find it later. its was so disappointment.
