Mesón De Leyendas Breakfast & Downtown

The garden surrounding the hotel is gorgeous. The room we were given was beautiful, huge, had a fridge, hair dryer and coffee maker. It felt very luxurious and perfect for our honeymoon. The breakfast was amazing and easily the best we have had so far (we have stayed in cheaper places until now or not had breakfast inc). The staff were very helpful. The receptionists did not speak any English but we were able to book a taxi to go to the butterfly reserve.

Our room was very close to reception and so some noise could be heard but we were provided with ear plugs so didn’t mind. The hot water took a while to come through. It did work, so if it seems like it doesn’t, give it a minute! I wanted to take the cat Priscilla home with me and couldn’t.

Quaint, a true gem tucked away in the heart of the city - but the real winner was the quality of it all - the staff, the food, and the attention to detail was truly spectacular. They had everything you could ever need and more including ear plugs, homemade soaps in the rooms, a delicious cold tea that was always available and water refill stations. I would 100% recommend you stay here.

The reviews and pictures didn’t do this place justice. It is ADORABLE.

The vibe of the place was something special we liked the decoration and the room comfiness, also the location is near the cathedral.

Specifically in our room with the bathtub the humidity was too high when we used it, maybe a better airflow system is required. Also, even tho the location was good, we got back late at night and we had to knock the door a lot of times before someone came and opened it (I expect a guard at the entrance), I mean maybe it’s not an insecure area but it was dark and felt kind of insecure.

Such a quaint Meson and Restaurant- a little oasis, a very comfortable place to sit and have a meal- breakfast was great, a very nice choice . We had dinner which was also excellent and the room was adorable with everything one needs. Walking distance to zocalo and plenty of Restaurants and private parking across the street- lo recomiendo mucho, un Meson encantador! Gracias!

All in all - we loved it. Super shower & bathroom ( usually an issue in many “boutique” hotels). They’ll light the wood stove in your room for $3 US with a couple hours of wood supply. Breakfast were great (enmoladas - yummy), dinner ok, staff superb ( Karen at night & Lupita for breakfast). Location just a bit far for walking from the waterline-restaraunt area but lots of places nearby as well. Super close to a cute little artisan Mercado & the plaza area. We went to the butterfly sanctuary during our visit & it was only 40 min (with waterline traffic) by car which is great because you can decide which day to go depending on the weather (super important). 2 things only: A bit noisy as our room was 2nd floor corner with well trafficked streets below us, and the restaraunt needs to have better dining area where the sun shines in the morning during the cold months,

We loved our 2 floor room. We loved the 2nd floor walk out to the jacuzzi and terass. The bed was super comfortable and clean-superior level. The gentleman at the front desk helped us so much.. Anna and Jorge- Puerto Vallarta & Niagara Falls, Canada 🇲🇽 + 🇨🇦

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice music for Christmas. Wonderful tea with real mint, lavender, or lemon grass. Walking distance to town center. Laundry facility across the street.

The heating system needs to be updated. We had to ask for space heaters. Uvaldo was great help with this matter.

The rooms and all were very comfy..nice garden views..the restaurant was very good...they are not pet friendly....but I like that they accepted to be pet friendly for that day that we stayed for a fee.

They are too pricey for 1 night....I have stayed in better hotels at a better price...No pool.

Very nice staff and the place is a quiet gem even though it is in the heart of the city. The restaurant at the hotel has excellent food.

Great location in the middle of the town, the staff is very attentive, the rooms are clean, the beds are soft and the jacuzzi feels very relaxing
