Canopy By Hilton Cancun La Isla

Very nice room, comfortable bed, great bathroom with flushing toilet that you can throw toilet paper in. The place was quiet. We had a great view of the ocean. We were able to walk to Playa Marlin. The decor of the room was tasteful. They also have covid testing clinic on-site on the second floor, which is very convenient and reasonably priced. We got out antigen test results within 2 hours by email and these were accepted by southwest airlines for our return to the US.

When we checked in, there was a loud saxophone player making it very difficult to hear the receptionist. Reception areas should be uiet because we are trying to do transactions and get details! People in front desk did not offer to help us with our bags, ie the person told us he would show us where our room is and just took us to the elevator which was right next to the reception and obvious.

I loved loved staying at Canopy by Hilton. From the big grin from Carlos also Adrian when you walk into the building. The whole staff went the whole 9yards to make sure my daughter and I had an awesome stay for 6days at Canopy. I would like to point that this hotel is right by the mall and we had access to everything. We went out most evenings for dinner and if you can please go to the THAI restaurant within the mall ( Food was absolutely delicious), It has a lovely water view and you can watch the sunset while having dinner. Downtown was only a 12pesos one way local bus away and we were happy to save a bit on transport by using this option. The final highlight from my Trip was JOE ( he made amazing cocktails and was lovely enough to make me something new for 5nights when I went down to the bar). I mentioned to JESUS that it was my birthday and he sent me a treat. The rooftop bar was very awesome. If you spend most of your time outside during your vacation I would recommend staying here as you get all the perks at the fraction of the resort costs. Please pay for the view (absolutely stunning and worth it)

On Day one we arrived around 6pm and our room was not ready ( This was during busy season so i assume this affected house keeping) The issues that I had problems with during my stay was promptly addressed. I will like to highlight JESUS especially for being helpful and always willing to go the extra mile with the huge smile on his face One thing to note (didn't report this) was that housekeeping should pay more attention to the floors in the room during cleaning as it seems they missed it a few times

Overall, we had an amazing stay! The location is amazing, there is a great public beach nearby, the rooftop swimming pool is incredible at night and the rooms are spacious and extremely nice and clean. I would definitely stay here again when in Cancun! :)

The reception and welcome staff were excellent, and very informative. The top floor pool area was great, fantastic views. Cocktails were tasty and a great choice for breakfast. Well located. Provides water from a machine by the lifts.

The bar staff were less interested, we had to physically approach them. 1 of the lifts was out of order.

the breakfast was wonderful! lots of options. felt like a deal. We were there just one night ad specifically to go shopping before our return home. The fact that its actually connected to Isla Shoppig Center was a PLUS for us.

The breakfast was worth the extra we paid. The location to the Isla mall was nice and the restaurants around the hotel are good, especially "KAI". Our room was clean and with a nice view of the lagoon. The pool and the roof top patio were very relaxing. The staff at the Canopy are wonderful, specially Carlo, Maggie, David and Laura!

Having limited access to the beach was a negative. It is a ten minute walk down to the public beach access. This was not very convenient and this limited our time enjoying the beach. I would have preferred to stay at a property that had access to the beach.

We booked this hotel literally at the last minute after we went to check into another hotel which had no water (but hadn't thought to tell us). In Canopy, we booked 2 rooms with lake view but when we got to our rooms we found they had a 'city' view (over the street). The (helpful) desk staff said it was an error on the booking (probably since it was last minute) and there were no lake views available, but they offered us free breakfast which was actually better, since breakfast was great and we could see a small slice of ocean from our 'city' view rooms. The beds were fantastic, it was super clean, there were swing chairs in the rooms, outlets by the bed for phone charging, great toiletries, pod coffee, drinking water on each floor and a refillable bottle in the room (so no plastic waste), wonderful pool deck (if a bit raucous at times). The entire hotel decor (including rooms) was modern and stylish; too often in hotels it's so bland but this wasn't. You can walk to the beach in 10 mins (a public entrance; all the beach is public, just the entrances aren't). It was a last minute booking and we hadn't had much choice but I would choose to stay there again.

There wasn't much we didn't like. The lighting over the beds could be better; there was a big round lamp that hung down over the bedside table and I kept hitting it with my head. The sliding bathroom door was very stiff (though this was only in one of the rooms). Parking is a bit of a walk through the shopping centre.

Had a very good experience overall, great service and friendly staff. The beds are big and very cormftable, the room was very clean and the furniter is great, very good Ilumination and big shower with good water pressure, we loved the swing in the bedroomThe whole design was chic and modern and very clean. The location is good, above the La Isla mall, tho no access to the beach, in sargazo season it's a big plus because you don't have the terrible smell.

Some little things that bothered, musty smokey smell in the corridor, No place to put things like eye glasses or clothes in the shower, very high place to hang the towels in the room and no place or cloth line to hang wet bathing suits, the reserved beds for outsiders at the pool bar, no shade in the pool, and the card in the elevator somtimes didn't work.
