Great improvements. I have been staying here when I stay in town for the last 20 years. I always enjoy Playa Bonita. I tried the SPA treatment for the first time and that was great! Breakfast buffet is of course the best in town! All the employees are always so friendly and so willing to give you a hand with whatever you need Itzel and Oscar at the bar by the pool were amazing and made our pool lounge drinking days so much fun!

I don't like that they close the pool and spa at 10:00 p.m. I also didn't like that $300 dollars went missing. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED IN THE 20 YEARS PLUS I HAVE BEEN COMING. I did let management know and I wish they would put in safes in the rooms.

The friendly staff..rooms were clean n comfortable...room had a beautiful view of the ocean...24-7 security watching the vehicles n each person had a wrist band so you can tell right away who should be on property or not ...I felt safe and comfortable...for ocean front price was good!!

I hated wearing the wrist bands lol! I kept wanting to take it off... But they were water proof and I felt like they were necessary ....the humidity sucked as well but being in front of ocean it was expected

Wonderful location, clean, great security guards. Everything is tiled so there are no strong odors that usually come with carpet, and it helps those of us out with asthma. Looks recently remodeled with modern touches.

Bed was very hard and it was very loud. However some people prefer a hard bed and I was unaware of how much people drink around there. Apparently it is common. It isn't the hotels fault that drinkers were very loudly stumbling in at all hours of the night. You can not access the private beach without staying at one of the hotels and the beach was worth the uncomfortable bed and noisy night.

Everything was good location, facilities it was all we were looking for.

What we didn't like is that it was a place with to many "NO" ×We can't have our cooler at the pool ×It was a little windy and you can't open the canopies ×you can't seat at the edge of the pool even we were taking care of our kids Small things that kind of bother, and security asking every time for your bracelet.

Personnel at the hotel were excellent, everyone was attentive and responsive. The room was very clean. Had a great refrigerator. Restaurant food was very good. Loved the atmosphere at the hotel, loved the location of the hotel. Enjoyed the intimate feeling of the hotel. Greatly appreciated the security one night when there was a group of disruptive guests late at night.

A few suggestions, a tighter seal on the door so light won't come through from the hallway. Longer shower curtains so that water would stay in the shower not go all over the floor. A more comfortable bed. The bed was very hard. More pillows on the bed. A Tighter seal around the heating/cooling unit, which whistled unless the window or door was opened.

The property and restaurant were amazing and the prices were super reasonable.

They have this security on the beach that patrol up and down. I was with my gf on the beach sitting there and they came up to us accusing us of smoking weed. They had guns and armor and it was super intimidating. They freaked out over nothing and even if we did have weed how they acted was completely not professional. They didn’t have a badge so who knows but after they approached us we were pretty rattled. We travel a lot too so we’re not dumb when it comes to intimidation but this seemed extremely extra and not needed.

We loved everything, it is an amazing place to relax with family. You don't need to take the car if you don't feel like it, there is everything you need at the complex. Plus, everyone was very nice and helpful and it felt really safe to stay there. I totally recommend it!

Everyone from the gate guards, hotel security, maintenance, front desk, pool staff, was really friendly, respectful and helpful. We walked to and from the beach as we liked. We enjoyed the pool and the jacuzzi. The restaurant "The New Mexican" is just down the road its inexpensive and the dishes are Amazing!!

I wish I had a heads up about getting there earlier, I waited about an hour to get checked in. No relation to the hotel, but the restaurant next door, Puesta del Sol, as we had conveniently eaten there before, we were planning on doing so again, however we were told they were only accepting cash. We just went elsewhere, but if you're planning to eat there, it's only cash.

The rooms were very comfortable the staff was incredibly gracious and it was a great location right next to a terrific restaurant

Our room was right by the pool and the Jacuzzis. There was one family who allowed their children to scream and holler the whole time they were there which was hours. We came for peace and quiet which we got most of the time except for the several hours that the kids were in the pool. Parents had no concept really that their kids were bothering me the residents hotel. I would suggest intermittent monitoring of the pool area for excessive noise.
