Best Western Plus Hotel Bakeriet

Not usually someone who stays in a Best Western, this was a fantastic find, right in the heart of Trondheim, and yet in a super quiet location. This converted crispbread factory had a lovely nostalgic charm, and there are pictures and cabinets of exhibits from when it was a bakery, which added to the authentic experience. The very good breakfast is served in a glass ceilinged atrium, and my room was very comfortable, big and quite plush for the more budget end of a Scandi hotel. I have spent a lot of time in Scandinavia and often the rooms are a bit too functional and lack warmth and charm. I will definitely stay there again next time I am visiting my friends in the city.

Nice hotel at a great location in Trondheim. Friendly staff, interesting big entrance (breakfast) hall. Breakfast with many options, fresh and delicious. Sauna facilities were not mentioned but are great! Clean room.

Our (family) room had a bunk bed which was quite unstable. Given that we were four adults, our smallest guy had to sleep in the upper bed but still risked to make the bunk bed fall over. Bathroom is a bit outdated and could use renovation.

Breakfast was excellent, there was everything you could wish. The hotel is located in the city centre, really close to many restaurants. There are bus stops near so you can go anywhere.

Too soft mattresses in the bed. The central heating in the room didn´t work and as the weather was cold, it was a bit uncomfortable. Also the information about parking, which we got from the receptionist (a map without street grid) was not clear so we spent some time trying to find it andat the end the recptionist had to go with us and to show us (she forgot to tell us that the hotel parking is hidden behind the gate in public parking and the sign doesn´t say the hotel´s name).

In all the stay was excellent There is a good selection of food with small sausages scrambled egg baked beans and chopped fried bacon all very tasty with fresh bread rolls and ground coffee to finish not forgetting fresh orange juice

No Foot pad in bathroom and needed a few more clothes hooks in bathroom also there is a slanting ceiling on third floor if you are shorter than 6ft it's okay but if 6ft you tend to hit your head when having a pee

The hotel is located in a very convenient place. Close to the river, to the train station, to the center (the hotel is already in the center). The breakfasts are delicious! amazing food selection. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The hotel also has a well-equipped gym (and a sauna, but I didn't have a chance to use it). The room was comfortable and clean. The nearby is safe, clean and quite.

Good downtown location and good hotel, esp as it was part of a century plus old former commercial/historic bakery... Had corner room, very large, but the older sloped ceilings required some 'ducking' to avoid hitting head in some areas of the room. Excellent breakfast.

Typical 'warm' Europa/Scandinavian room with no ceiling fans, no A/C : opening the several windows to cool room for sleeping made for very noisy nights as the restaurants/bars nearby were weekend packed with 'revelers' all night. Closing windows only reduced street noise very slightly. Dunno how one could sleep in high summer with long days of sun/heat, but I guess the usual summer time travelers here are used to high room temps. We were here in October, fwiw.

Everything was great. Excellent quality for the price. It also had a laundry room where we could wash and dry our clothes for free. Also, amazing breakfast!

The towel changing policy was not really clear to me! It said if you want to use the same towel, let it hang on the drying rails in the bathroom. Although we left the towels on the bed two times, they didn't change our towels. So basically our towels didn't change for the whole week which was a bit annoying.

Nice quiet hotel, in the middle of the center of Trondheim. Good beds, clean, very good breakfast. My colleague got a serious nose bleeding in the hotel and the staff helped with towels, cleaning, caring. Even the manager of the hotel helped. She was there cleaning stuff, taking care of my colleague, providing paper towels. My compliments to the staff of this hotel!!

Wifi was slow, that's it.

Overall a nice room, good powerful shower, but was described as being a grand room, when it was good rather than grand! Some of the paintwork had peeled around the window, but this wasn't anything major. Good free breakfast in the morning and the staff made a good effort on reception to be helpful etc.

There was some construction work in the late evening, that seemed a bit strange, when I would have thought this should have been done during the day.
