Hotel La Mariposa

this is a really lovely family run hotel in a beautiful rural location. the rooms are very comfortable with interesting decor and amazing views across the valley. the outside areas are comfortable and the pool area looks great but it was closed during our visit as we were early in the season. it’s a good location for the national park and even has some good walks that start opposite the hotel. a big highlight is the food. we had dinner twice and it was really excellent, so delicious and they have a good wine list. we loved it here very much

Staff were lovely, really friendly and helpful. Fab menu with delicious food. Lovely wine. Nice pool. Good location with lots of places to walk. Will definitely return, but not on a Wednesday!

Everything was great with the hotel. Unfortunately there was nowhere to get anything to eat locally on the Wednesday when the hotel kitchen was closed. No shortage of restaurants, they were just all closed and it was high season! Not the hotel's fault at all but nevertheless annoying having to go without a meal. We made do with crisps, olives and a bottle of wine from the Honesty bar!

lovely quaint hotel with a pool. Lots of activities if you wanted to do some, lots of walks. Staff very accommodating and pleasant. Rooms had everything you needed. Chef worked round our diets, that was appreciated.

Nothing really, maybe if jakuzzi was also working but pool was nice.

The food as per usual was Amazing. Very comfortable beds and always good to have a fridge in the room & really good air con. The adventure day was awesome Gavin is a really good instructor.

To be honest I wasn't keen on the wet room style bathroom, the floor was extremely wet for ages after we had a shower, maybe put in a shower tray instead.

This place is splendid on every level. The location is ideal for hiking in the Sierra and the barrancos, for other activities, or just chilling in the garden. The hosts are delightful, very knowledgeable about the area, and create a very relaxed atmosphere. The room was cosy with great heating, the mini fridge handy for picnic supplies. The dinner I had was beautifully prepared and presented. I hope to be back sometime.

Super-friendly hosts with quite some genuine interest in their customers. Very fine substitute for our breakfast because of our early leaving in the morning for the photo-hides of Photologistics in the Murcia area. Excellent food. Nice swimming pool. Super location in the hills around Murcia.

Quality of wifi could be better.

Nice location, close to the barrancos de Gebas. Friendly and helpful staff Tom and especially Nina. Good food - breakfast, lunch menu and a la carte diner.

The pool and garden were closed, what a pity with the very nice weather we had during our stay.

Fantastic location. The rooms were great we had the Morrocan suite and Music room and both were extremely good value for money. The hosts and staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was excellent. Combined with the activities made it a very memorable stay!

Excellent value for money, very friendly and accommodating staff who pulled out all the stops to cater for 3 of us who are vegan (just let them know before hand if you are) - incredible, fresh and delicious food that exceeded all expectations. Lovely atmosphere too, would definitely stay there again!

The staff were exceptional Lucy the manager, Tom the chef , Jack the waiter and the entire La Mariposa team went above and beyond to make our stay fabulous
