Ardales

A quiet, pretty block of apartments, in centre of Ardales. Staff very helpful you might need to ring them before arrival as they are not always there. Our room was one of the smallest but very comfortable. Great for visiting the area. As it was January the small rooftop enclosed pool was closed but it looked very pleasant. Ardales is a lovely mountain town. On Mondays the Caminito del Rey is closed, therefore almost everything else is closed so there was limited choice of restaurants on our evening there. In the morning the place was buzzing with walkers and the breakfast restaurant near the hotel was great and we sorted our packed lunch at the local supermarket. Interesting little museum in the village too. Great.

No complaints, but a mirror in the bedroom would have been useful!

Apartamentos Ardales is a small cozy place in the very heart of the town of Ardales. Honestly, when I booked it, my intention was just to have a nap there for a night. Actually Ardales is a calm small town where you could stay to take a rest from the busy spanish cities. We arrived by car and parked it on the street. The hotel offers a parking with their own garage for just 7 euro. We stayed in a room on the 2th floor with a wanderful view to the hill. The room was actually a studio with its own bathrrom and kitchen. It was large enough and there was a lot of space for two persons. As I said we stayed there just for a night to take our way to EL Caminito del Rey the next day. Definitelly it worth the adventure. The start point is just a half an hour from the town of Ardales by car. I will vistit this place in the future if I have chance.

The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a delightful sunny outside space with a spectacular view of the town and the ruins of the castle. the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful and the apartment was situated in the centre of Ardales, close to restaurants and with very easy access to other points of interest.

in January the apartment was quite chilly and because of the fixed blind on the velux type window it was also rather dark - necessitating lights on, even during the day. These are small points which shouldn’t deter people from booking this lovely apartment.

Check in was difficult and very slow. Hostess said she spoke English but she did not. Thereby she spoke very soft. We could not hear her behind the window. We needed help of other guests. Normaly we do not have problems to check in even when it is in Spanish. Shower in the bath. For eldery might be difficult. Apartment a little dark in february.

The host in the reception was very welcoming and provided us with all the details we needed for our trip to Caminito Del Rey the next day. She was also very nice in pointing out at all the places we could visit in the small town that the property is in. The location is amazing. It is just like in the movies, a small town in the middle of nowhere, and there is a beautiful castle on top of the mountain, that the town lies in. However, it is closed until the summer. The place was very clean. Breakfast opens from 8 am but since we left the property before that, we didnt have the opportunity to try it!

The shower head in our bathroom did not work. We are not sure if we were unable to get it working or it was like that to begin with.

very good price with such a comfortable apartment. we arrived late with rain n very luckily found a free parking.The reception lady is very kind to lend us umbrella n told us where to buy food for the next day's hiking.she gave us a lot of useful information for the Camino de r Rey. Pity we only stayed overnight n didn't have time to visit the beautiful village. we forgot to take photos of the apartment.

We had a big and comfortable apartment on two levels. Kitchen was well equipped for basic cooking, there is a Gym downstairs and a pool in summer (was closed when we visited). Location is perfect, two minutes walking to shops and restaurants, but it is still very easy to find parking spots. The towels in the bathroom are super soft

I did not expect the apartments to be this nice and was blown away by the well taken care of facility. You can park well anywhere around the complex or pay for private parking but they don't mind whichever option you choose. The lady at the reception was very nice and could speak English as well. The apartment itself was clean, great couch and had a nice kitchen. It's a very easy and short drive to the Camenito del Rey or for example the Torcal the Antequerra. If you are looking for a great vacation with loads of hikes, this is an amazing place to stay.

Most of the restaurants in Ardales were closed but that is not something they can fix. There is a supermarket nearby so we could cook ourselves!

Well designed duplex apartment with a beautiful shared courtyard, fireplace and kitchen. We arrived on a rainy day and decided to buy firewood (which is an extra but only a few euros and we received a generous basket of hard wood) which was perfect for a comfortable and cozy evening on the sofa. Free parking behind the accommodation. Receptionist was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay and would come again.

Some items in the kitchen were missing or broken (e.g. chopping board, bottle opener) but receptionist was quick to organise a replacement. Kitchen furniture was generally a bit dated and would benefit from a revamp.

All went well

Firewood to be included in the room price and Breakfast served year round as presented on the website. Also, we would have loved to use the jacuzzi on the roof, also as presented on the website, but like the restaurant it was closed for the season.
