Abba Burgos

The hotel was v central and in a quiet location. We had a comfort room which was spotless, comfortable beds and a big bathroom. The reception staff were most helpful and courteous with a big smile. There is an indoor pool which we didn’t use and a nice restaurant serving a good breakfast etc. We only stayed one night as travelling but would have no hesitation in rebooking for another time. Very good value for peak season.

To enjoy drinks outside in warm weather we found the designated area very small at the front/side of the hotel. Not particularly attractive either. Also the service was poor as only one member of staff was on duty and he had to cover the bar inside as well as requests outside.

Excellent hotel. Clean, good service, wonderful views and location. A short walk brings you to a magnificent side —great photo op, especially in the evening—of the cathedral. (The entrance from this side is for local worshippers. Know that the entrance and ticket office to this most amazing cathedral—not your usual experience—is from the plaza further down.) Start your day with the hotel’s ample and lovely buffet. We particularly recommend the selection of fresh fruit. Absolutely everything to recommend about this hotel.

The only inconvenience was that there was no elevator from the parking garage but we unloaded at the reception and then parked. For those on foot, be mindful there’s a set of steps to climb when you return to the hotel.

Big hotel near the centre of Burgos, short walk into town where there are lots of restaurants. Hotel was very clean with a lots of facilities, gym, swimming pool etc, Breakfast was very good with a huge choice. Reception not smiling as we would normally expect, but professional and organised.

21 euros per night to park the car seemed a little too much, 20 euros for wi-fi, should be free? There is a 1 euro charge for a towel for the swimming pool.

We had a beautiful room with it's own large terrace (they weren't very busy). The bed was incredibly comfortable, bathroom was nice, it was very clean, and so quiet. We paid extra for the breakfast and it was a beautiful buffet (no custom omelets or pancakes). Parking was extra but it was on site. The location was a close walk to the beautiful old town, cathedral, and lots of restaurants. Burgos is a very nice small city with lots of parks and green spaces. Great walking along the river under green trees.

We liked everything.

Pretty much everything. Beds were really comfortable, the room and bathroom were very spacious. The staff were approachable and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and found it really relaxing

I thought €26 a night for having our dog with us was a little expensive, its the most I've ever paid and I'm not sure what exactly that covered as there was no evidence of "deep cleaning" (the room was cleaned each day but no more than any other that I witnessed) I appreciate not every dog owner is responsible and damage does occur but could I suggest holding an amount on someones credit card which is returned if the room is looked after but taken if not? Perhaps consider a vegetarian option in the restaurant? I really would have liked to have an evening meal but with no vegetarian option i ate at restaurants in the city each night. Having said that, I must stress, we really enjoyed our stay and the hotel was lovely, we would definitely stay again despite the cost of our dog 🐕 😊

Great location, very clean staff were very helpful.

The resturant shut at 3.30pm and did not open again until 8.30.pm I found this very inconvenient, to enter the hotel it was necessary to walk up a large flight of steps, being asthmatic I found this very difficult, there was a private lift that was offerred for use, it required calling a member of staff on an intercom who then had to come to the lift to allow access very embarrassing. For these reasons I would not book this hotel in the future.

Huge spacious room. Lovely view. Short walking distance to cathedral and square with many restaurants and the rest of the city. Parking on site is expensive (€19) so parked outside the hotel on road. Perfectly safe. You can drive up to the hotel to drop luggage off passing though the the entrance to the very ugly car park. This for me detracted from the very pleasant looking hotel itself. Breakfast (€12) in a very pleasant restaurant: the hotel does take tour groups so try to avoid those busy times.

The car park was built in a time when typical cars had the size of a Renault Twingo. However, hotel guests prepared to pay the requested parking fees rarely drive a Renault Twingo. As a consequence, even with "360 view" and all other possible sensors in the car, getting into a parking space in this hotel car park was a real challenge

Excellent Hotel right next to the main sights. Welcoming drink at the reception. We had a misunderstanding with the rooms but it was solved immediately. Excellent lunch menu with lovely service staff - also in the morning. Spacious rooms with coffee machine and complimentary water bottle. Very quiet room and absolutely comfortable. Nice swimming pool and gym with free water and sauna. private parking space with lots of space also for bigger cars.

Brilliant position, just a short walk into the old town & garage parking was a bonus. The deluxe room was lovely, large room, with seperate seating area & direct access to private small garden, which was a big bonus with a dog. Really nice breakfast for extra price of just under €17pp.

Fee for dog of €28 was a bit high. It would be nice to have tea & coffee facilities in the room. Cost for parking, but worth parking as parking in Burgos is difficult.
