Hotel Villa Barbara

1) location!!! 2 mins walk from the beach; plenty of shops and restaurants around; 2) staff- very quick, efficient, very helpful; my flight was late so the reception team provided me with an access code to enter the hotel without any problems; very informative! 3) balcony- big balcony (with two chairs and a table) and still plenty of space; 4) heating/air conditioning- I didn’t have any problems with the temperature in the room because of the air conditioning working perfectly; 5) cleaning- ladies were coming to change towels and take out rubbish every day and change bed sheets every other day; very quick, polite and efficient!!! 6) good value for money!!! We know what we are paying for and this is exactly what we get!!!

1) it’s not that I didn’t like it, it’s just it would be easier to have it-small, cheap electric kettle; coffee machines were out of service so we needed to go out to look for a cafe (keep in mind that we were visiting Mallorca not in season so it was very hard to find anything open) 2) same situation with hair dryer- not a problem but would be easier and more comfortable to have it;

Very nice hotel. It was cheap, so had low expectations, but everything was as it should be. Breakfast was nice, good coffe and muesli with milk. Very central location close to beach and shopping. I loved the balcony with evening sun.

Walls are very thing, annoying Tv in room next to us

location was right near the beach, ideal! it was very close to the bus stops as well, as well as walking distance to the city centre and the supermarkets. Lovely little balcony as well, with good air con in the room. Towels were provided, there was a tv, a safe which we didn't use, and a good shower.

Toothpaste, soap and shower gel wasn't provided. Also, not sure if it was just culture shock but we were told we couldn't fill up our water bottles in the hotel so we had to buy bottled water for our stay.

Personal was really nice, everything clean good, room was enought, bathroom Ok. About the breakfast can´t say anything because in that time it wasn´t still open.

The walls are super thin so each step of your neighbours you can hear. We had during two weeks 3 different neighbours- family with small kid- crying every night :// was like to be next to this child. Second some party people who had party everynight- like to be there with them. and third couple .... well like to have a trio with them.

The reception person was great as he gave us a free upgrade to a room with a balcony. The room and the furniture were not the newest, however the room was really spacious and clean, and the bed matress was really comfortable. The hotel is located on the main street of the town, and very close to the sea. Very good price and quality ratio. Overall great experience and I would stay there again!

The main street is quite noisy during the night, so for light sleepers earplugs are essential.

Ева, Ева, Ева. If I could say three words about this Hotel it would be the amazing receptionist Ева. She without a shadow of a doubt made our stay perfect. Any issue such as needing more pillows/soap/toilet paper, recommendations on where to eat out and drink and what to see she had all the answers. You would think she has lived here for 10 years but no! Just two months. A real asset to this Hotel and I hope they manage to keep her. We extended our stay thanks to her hospitality alone. (She also kindly sorted this for us with ease) The smile she greets every guest with instantly puts you at ease and makes you feel so welcome. 5*

it was very close to see and to the pedestrian street, so location was perfect. family room has two rooms, as well two bathrooms and very big terrace. the staff is very, very helpful and supportive what with even some little minuses makes this place awesome.

quality of some staff needs to be refreshed (i.e flush button in one of the bathroom was pretty hard to be used ); Wi-Fi was really weak so if someone expect to have working connection definitely would not be satisfied without own lte. The kitchen is only fridge and microwave, while we took some things to do for kids ( but we had no option to cook or even boiled water for tea) - but this is mostly our fault that we have not checked the description or we haven’t ask.

The location was perfect! Right by the beach and lots of restaurants and shops. However we came during off season so everywhere was closed apart from Burger King, a local kebab shop and a corner shop 1min walk from the hotel, which was great!! There’s a Lidls about a 15min walk. The hotel was clean and the balcony was lovely, check in and out was smooth and staff was polite and helpful. Definitely would come back, especially during the summer :)

The WiFi didn’t work at times

Very easy to check-in at anytime. Restaurants, bars and beach within 100m. Big, very comfortable bed. Plenty of parking places nearby. Stuff was very helpful. We informed the receptionist that the lamp is not working and in the evening it was repaired. Very clean. After 2 days we received clean towels and our room was cleaned. We had a balcony. We had an extra blanket and AC ( useful for December temperatures).

Walls are very thin. But this is so in most of hotels. No soap to wash the hands. For shower we were offered 2x10ml shower gel sachets. But this was not enough. There was no shower holder.

Friendly staff: helped us to rent a cheap and superb car; we could rent a mini fridge for EUR2/day; we got back our jackets which we left there :) Beautiful beach within 2 minutes (white sandy beach with nice waves and breath-taking mountain view as a landscape). Medium night-life with several shops and restaurants open until 1-2 a.m. Airport & Palma bus stops within 5 minutes of walk. Very comfortable to get around the whole island.

The hotel is on the main street (where local kids are usually shouting and/or playing football all night) and the indoor walls are thin so bring some earplugs if you are not a good sleeper. Tips: ask for a room with a sea-view to have a good sleep.
