Leonardo Hotel Fuengirola Costa del Sol

Location excellent. Breakfast & dinner very good Hotel is spotless & staff are great. I had an issue with my airport transfer (through booking.com) who never showed but the hotel was delightful.

I liked everything with the hotel, just the airport transfer organised through booking.com never showed. This obviously was a big disappointment but the hotel made up for it

Central location, right across the beach, close to the train station. Great breakfast and dinner buffets. Room wiht the sea view and large balcony.

Great, central location. Buffet breakfast was extensive and everything we had was delicious. Room was modern and very clean, huge bed which was comfy. We paid a little extra to have a sea view balcony which was definitely worth it.

Nothing really that we didn't like, but a word of advice to anyone who, like us, enjoys eating local cuisine rather than burger and chips. Make the effort to walk 10 minutes into town where you can find a square in the old town to cater to those who are looking for tapas etc. Along the seafront by the hotel are many Irish pubs, but you can find more traditional eateries if you spend a bit of time looking.

Excellent choice of breakfast catering for all dietary requirements. The hotel has recently been refurbished so the decor and furnishings are very good. Great location practically on the sea front and very central for the town.

We had a sea view room and unfortunately it was very noisy, there is a popular bar near by which didn't close until the later hours of the morning which resulted in us being woken on several occasions. There was air conditioning in the room but one of us cannot sleep with this on due to medical reasons so we needed to open the balcony doors for some cool air. The bathrooms are also not very sound proof which we found unpleasant.

Lovely warm welcome with good explanation of hotel ammenities. Parking on site. Newly refurbished with a comfortable modern atmosphere and balance of furnishings. Bedroom good size, comfy bed and coffee facilities (some rooms). Bathroom not huge but shower worked well and towels really large and fluffy. Pool and cafe area small but really lovely and food quite tasty. Central beachfront with lots of good bars and restaurants within easy walking distance.

Bathroom door not best placed (maybe a sliding door?) Booking says kettle, not in room. Garage parking not suitable for large vehicles.

No entertainment and a huge area that could be perfect for any type of entertainment Evening meal was a bit repetitive and on some occasions the hot dishes were undercooked No free water tea or coffee offered with the evening meal Pool area rather small for the size of the hotel For a 4star hotel it was lacking in some areas

Hotel was in an excellent location, close to beach and lots of bars & restaurants. The room was immaculately clean as was the rest of the hotel and a fantastic sea view from the balcony. The bed was very comfortable and the room & bathroom was equipped to a very high standard. Breakfast was superb with a huge range of cooked & continental fare.

Hotel was renovated to a very high standard but the aircon was not upgraded & was very loud. There was no way to have this running while trying to sleep. The pool was small with little swimming space and no deep end, more like a plunge pool.

Really amazing personal. I chose Leonardo because I loved my stay in this chain in London and Fuengirola’s Leonardo has definitely met those expectations. They are so service minded! They definitely go an extra mile for the customers. On top of that, we arrived late, at 11 pm but they have still planned our dinner and it was waiting for us in the restaurant. This kind of thoughtfulness is so rare these days! The hotel and room was beautiful, nice warm pool with a pool bar, spa (unfortunately no kids are allowed to spa but it looked nice). Great breakfasts

The only minus for me was a neighbor that was smoking on the balcony.

Location perfect, close to the beach/shops/town/bars. Breakfast was amazing, we just did B&B and it was perfect to set you up for the day, everything you'd want for breakfast and even a sweets area for the kids (if you'd let them!) and free Cava to help yourself to which we were pleasantly surprised at. Room was lovely, comfy beds, we paid an extra say 40 euros to have the sea view which in my opinion was totally worth it to have a coffee on the balcony and watch the sun rise each morning. I chose this hotel due to the coffee machine in the room also which is an added bonus and just nice to have one on the balcony before heading down for breakfast. Our only critique was the lifts were a bit slow, so we ended up taking the stairs most of the time but we were only on level 3 out of around 12 so that was possible for us. Thanks for a great stay and we shall be back.

Wonderful views and beach front location. So close to great restaurants and shops. Loved the lobby bar for evening drinks which were sensibly priced for a 4 star hotel. Renovated and rebranded. Pleasant helpful staff. Great Aircon. We were room only and enjoyed one breakfast there at 12 Euro. Dinner is 18 Euro plus drinks. Lovely dining room. Beautiful new lobby soft furnishings. Plenty of UK TV channels. Join the Leonardo loyalty scheme and enjoy 10% off food and drink. Lots to like!

Hotel pool very small. The fact there is no entertainment didn't bother us. Having a permanent member of staff on the bar in the lobby might attract more custom.
