Meliá Granada

Good pre-stay communication Excellent position for the Alhambra and plenty of nearby restaurants in the centre of the city to choose from Classic style of room with very large double bed, shower over the bath, large TV, fridge Welcome note and biscuit was a nice touch Breakfast choice and quality was one of the best we have had in a city hotel especially the pastries. Parking available next door to the hotel (parking Canivet, 20 euros for 24 hours)) We had booked a Superior double room but were informed before our stay that there was work going on in the hotel and agreed to change to a standard double at a cheaper price and it was fine. There was no work noise or evidence of it that we could see or hear. We would recommend this hotel for its service, comfortable bed, great breakfast chice and position in the centre of the city.

The bathroom was a little old fashioned and the door didn't close properly.

The rooms were not large and a bit old-fashioned compared to the very welcoming and precious entrance: quite comfortable and well furnished. Friendly and helpful staff. Equipped with the necessary comforts, comfortable and large bed. Structure in the historic center a stone's throw from everything: absolutely strategic position. Paid outdoor parking available (25 €) very close. Excellent breakfast, good value for money!!

Cleaning could be better for a 4 star, but overall ok.

Everything was fabulous, we were staying for a double celebration, a special anniversary and a special birthday. The staff presented us with some lovely Cava and chocolate dipped fruits, which was a lovely surprise, it made our day. Our room was perfect, we didn't get a balcony on arrival but were immediately moved upon request. The staff could not have been more helpful. Will definitely stay here if we visit Granada again. Can not recommend it highly enough. Thank you everyone at the Melia Granada.

There is not adequate sound proofing between rooms. However, this did not detract from our wonderful stay.

Good size room, bed was enormous and so comfy with cuddly pillows. Location was perfect and the Breakfast was great, very good value for money 12€, everything you could imagine to eat and excellent quality. Bar very nice to have a few drinks in the evening with free snacks offered too. The hotel doesn't have its own parking but there's public parking a few doors away at 20€ a day. Staff very friendly and helpful...We had a great 3 days staying there. :-)

There wasn't anything we didn't like

Very well located and easy to walk to all the attractions. Staff were very attentive and professional. Great bar and ambience friendly. Excellent choice of bar and restaurant food. External bars and restaurants in close proximity to hotel and all the main tourist attractions nearby or a short taxi ride away. Hotel staff were very helpful. Great having an in house bar with late night drinks and food available. In terms of general value for money - you are definitely getting a great standard for very reasonable rates.

Downstairs toilets need a refurbishment. Perhaps some of the bedrooms may need a bit of a spruce up - felt a little tired in places but totally adequate and clean. Otherwise nothing really to complain about it was all good.

The location was very nice in the city center. The staff helped us to book a guided tour to Alhambra.

After we reached the hotel, the reception staff gave us the magnetic cards for the room, but they not programmed to open the door. so we had to go downstairs to ask them to solve the issue. Then, when the doors were opened, the room was with a double bed although booked a one with two single beds. The staff solved the problem but they did not apologize for the mistakes.

The location of this hotel is great. It's near the main touristic places and very convenient. The lobby and the bar are beautiful.

The room was kind of small for three people but it was clean and neat. The buffet breakfast was not the best. There were not many options and the food was not that fresh or tasty. This was a disappointment considering that it is a Meliá hotel. Note: We later stayed at Sol Meliá in Malagá and the breakfast there was way better.

The location is perfect for sightseeing. The room was comfortable with a nice bathroom. The terrace area off the room was lovely to sit out on in the early evening. Coffee making facilities were available in the room. The breakfast choice was excellent and well presented. The reception staff were very helpful and happy to advise.

The room felt small but the balcony compensated. Strangely the floor boards did not meet up in many places.

Clean businesslike hotel within walking distance to Mesquita and Centro Historico. Spacious rooms and bathrooms. Nothing missing, no extras. Good beds. Helpful and nice staff. Easy parking facilities that is unusual in Spain. Hotel has some parking spots, but I parked into a big parking garage 400 meters away.

The hotel is clean, functional and businesslike, but not exactly personal or charming.

When we arrived the room we were given had not been cleaned. We were given another room some distance from my children. We complained that the toilet didn’t flush. It simply didn’t get sorted. We kept asking and still it didn’t happen
