Hotel Puntazo II

Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. The entrance and common areas of the Hotel were attractive and looked very appealing. Parking was no problem in September, we parked in the outdoor area.

The bathrooms could do with an upgrade, as there was no walk in shower facility, only a step in bath and shower. This may have caused a problem for us as we are over 60, we were provided with a plastic non slip matt, that provided additional support when showering. The beds were a bit basic, however the rooms were clean. The kettle did not have a dedicated electric point and had to be plugged into the socket beside the bed, a bit of a nuisance, and a bit dangerous moving the boiled water across the room to the tea area. One socket did not work. There was no privacy on the Terrace from other guests in adjoining rooms, as the terraces were all in a row, with no privacy screening.

We stayed for three days in a “mini apartment “ with spacious bedroom , bathroom and sitting room and very large terrace with sun beds and table and chairs. There was a decent small fridge and good air conditioning .Furnishing was basic but clean and reasonably comfortable .The gardens are pretty and well kept with small water features and the swimming pool was really nice ,clean and with sufficient sun beds and shade. Very good break fast buffet with plenty of choice

The hotel is sited on a hillside and we found the short route to our room a bit of an effort as we both have minor mobility issues. Breakfast is listed till 10 am but staff started clearing away the buffet on the dot of 10am!

We found the hotel friendly and more personal than some larger, more faceless operations. The low profile, traditional style of the buildings was very appealing, as were the gardens and water features and general ambience. You do not feel that you are in a faceless, corporate environment. Our room was, a spacious bedroom, bathroom and terrace. The style was traditional and understated, no bells and whistles, which we prefer. The beds were very comfortable and rooms quiet. The views to the sea were wonderful! Jose the chef seems to love his job and is enthusiastic about the food on offer, which was lovely. We only had three nights here, but came away feeling it at been longer and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We frequently visit Murcia and a few days in Mojacar is a nice change. We would definitely visit

The staff were very accommodating especially the lady on reception. Always had a smile on her face. The breakfast was lovely, the hotel itself was very, very clean, everywhere was clean. The only downside I felt was the swimming pool. Rather small and looked as if it could have been cleaner.

As I said, the only downside was the swimming pool. I felt as if it could do with a clean and it was rather small for the amount of rooms. Thankfully it was too busy when we were there.

We booked one of the bungalows as there were no rooms available in the hotel but this was more like a hostel. We requested a change to the hotel rooms having explained our dissatisfaction with the current arrangements. The management kindly moved us into the hotel into two excellent rooms. There was a very nice swimming pool which I used in mid-October. Relaxing atmosphere as the hotel was quiet at the time.

Shower curtain rather than screen in the shower which was over the bath. This was disappointing as the one good thing in the bungalow was the walk in shower.

This was mine and my husbands 2nd stay here and we love it. Its great for a chilled couples stay The pool area is lovely and peaceful and drinks brought to you. The beds are super comfy and the whole hotel is spotlessly clean. It's a bit retro and quirky but we absolutely love it and can't wait to go back. Added bonus all staff are helpful, friendly and polite.

. . .We stay quite often in mojacar and have stayed in several hotels and this hotel is the best one so far. Immaculate room with good sized beds and working AC and WiFi router.kettle was also provided which is a rareity in Spanish hotels ..Great sized bathroom with hair dryer and toiletries.and a big terrace with great views of the sea.. Plenty of storage space and 2 big mirror's.again a rareity in Spanish hotels.We opted for room only for our 2 night stay has there are lots of cafes restraunts and bars within a ten minute walk. We had snacks from the bar whilst we lounged poolside which was great value for money. The pool area is a lovely area and a great sun trap.. No issue with parking (free) just outside of hotel main gate. This hotel will definitely be our go to wen we visit again..the guy on the front desk was very pleasant as was all the staff.. Beautifully kept gardens and grounds absolutely loved it here

.Not so much I didn't like but typically Spanish pillows so always take our own. And lack of electric sockets. None near the kettle so had to use on bedside table but next time will just take a short extension lead.nothing to dislike 😊

We had a lovely stay in the Puntazo II. The room was a really good size. Cleaned every day and nice bed linen and towels. We enjoyed the excellent buffet breakfast and a couple of evening buffet meals. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. A special mention of the 2 lovely chinese ladies that worked in the restaurant. The hotel is central and very relaxing and we would not hesitate to book here again when we visit Mojacar.

There was nothing we didn't like.

We have been visiting Mojacar for around 15 years, and have stayed in various hotels and apartments along the playa. This is the best! The rooms are incredibly spacious, the staff are absolutely lovely and the pool area is calm and relaxing. The location is spot on, we will be returning!

Central, quiet, very clean, lovely staff, nice pool area with plenty of sunbeds, pool towels supplied. Nice bar area lots of seating. Music some evenings.

The shower over the bath needs updating also chairs & table on balcony need updating. Limited toiletries supplied.
