A beautiful 200 year old colonial house modernised and extended into a beautifully designed haven of rest only 20 mins from Colombo International airport. Welcoming and efficient staff made it all work well.

This may be a booking.com point rather than the hotel’s but the price plummeted from $311 + taxes etc to $179 in a matter of a few days which we found very annoying. Good value for money but way more expensive than anywhere else we stayed in Sri Lanka.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Especially the manager Neil. Very good breakfast and standard of food. Spa was also amazing as were the girls who looked after the three of us. Great couple of days to start our trip. In the past we have travelled several hours to get to our first destination. So this was hugely convenient, not far from the airport. Yet you feel in the middle of lovely gardens with amazing, birds, chip monks, butterfly’s, frogs, mongoose, ghekos and flora. Also the pool was amazing.

It’s a bit pricey. But we still would stay again and we are heading back at the end of our trip for one night. I would definitely recommend.

Perfect place to start off your Sri Lankan trip. I was there solo for the night before my husband joined me. Enjoyed the warm reception after a long overnight of travel; the beautiful jungle serenity; a refreshing dip in the pool in the rain; delicious nourishing food; a long day of rest and a wonderful spa treatment. Left feeling rejuvenated and restored and ready to begin our fabulous trip around the beautiful island country. Thank you for making me feel safe, comfortable and for the beautiful and serene gardens.

Absolutely beautiful - decor very stylish, could imagine in Elle Deco or similar magazine. Wonderful garden and pool. Delicious crab curry and food of very high standard. Helpful and friendly staff. Great as so near to airport but didn’t hear any planes!

Stunning historical property very close to the airport which makes it very convenient when landing late at night. designed and appointed with flair. Great service. Beautiful pool

Breakfast is nice, in a beautiful setting, yet could be easily improved (eg better coffee :)

Neil and his staff were fantastic and very friendly plus accommodating . Especially a young chap called Melon. Nice room, Great food, lovely way to start and end our trip. Nice grounds and relaxing lovely pool. The spa treatments were also good.

The fact we only booked two nights at the start and one night at the end of our three week trip. We could easily have stayed a day or two longer.

Super comfy hotel. Very comfortable bed in beautiful spacious room, vast bathroom and own private garden with sitting area. Good food and attentive staff.

Hard to fault - reception a bit slow and reception area very dimly lit for paperwork etc.

I really liked the hotel, everything is thought out, the territory is large and comfortable. the continental style makes a pleasant impression. the staff is at the highest level, everyone is very friendly and trying to help. I would especially like to highlight Melon, he has a high level of service, as well as the ability to maintain a conversation on various topics.

Food, staff, pool and eco veg garden/ fruit/ plants/ goats excellent

Needs another coat of white and green paint as would freshen it up. As looked tired. Didn’t feel like a 5 star hotel because of that.

The bed comfort and high quality bed linen were perfect for sleep after our long flight…the staff looked after us wonderfully well and my visit to the spa was first class.
