Clarion Hotel Wisby

We've got early checkin. Room was exactly what we've asked (top floor sea view bath tub). Good quality wifi but not encrypted. Sound isolation excellent. room climate exellent. Front desk person drove us to airport with Visby town short of taxi, which is exceptional service.

Breakfast could be better quality wise. Medieval festival week stay price is insane. Not to the hotel but to town public transport: Despite airport is just 4 km off the town walls, Be prepared that first bus to/from airport is late in the morning. Check the schedule. The town is very short of taxi. So, you are on your own getting to/from airport.

I couldn't ask for anything better, everything from breakfast to start my day to the amazing location, met with my expectations ! A perfect blend of vintage & comfort!

Maybe a couple of thing I could think of: Having an adjustable spray for the shower, the pressure and temperature are great! The pool should be open from earlier than 1400 hours, for many, starting the day with a swim is most appreciated! And this is the first hotel I've come across that charges their resident guests, 12 Euro for using the swimming pool!

it was a very nice stay in general. the hotel was super cozy and looks very authentic. Very good breakfast with a great variety of items. The staff was super sweet and helpful. Location is great, easy and fast to get by foot from the boat. very central and close yo everything. the room was silent clean and had a great view.

asked for a big bed and they were 2 single beds put together, but they would move apart easily during the night cause they were very light weight beds. Too soft mattress for my taste. The spa was very nice, but sauna and changing rooms need more attention between guests cause they weren’t cleaned and there was a lot of oil on the sauna seats and hairs in the showers. The fireplace wasn’t on, which could have been a plus for a cozy autumn vibe.

The breakfast was amazing! The location was perfect, close to everything in the main part of Visby and very close to the ferry.

Better direction for parking. Especially for people traveling from other countries. We were told that there was "parking behind the building" and "behind the library" with no map indicating where those areas are. I received a parking ticket for $130 because I misunderstood the signs. It would be an amazing service to provide information on parking for your guests.

Beautiful and comfortable rooms and prime position. Excellent breakfast with a wide range of choice. Shout out to the excellent member of staff who warned me that the suitcase my airline had delayed was finally delivered for me at the hotel. She made sure to inform me as soon as possible.

One day cleaning was skipped. I had to go to reception to say as much and ask for more toilet paper. The latter item wasn't brought to my room, so I had to ration.

It is absolutely gorgeous and a perfect place. The staff is perfect, kind and welcoming. The hotel is a beautiful building, a beautiful reception and bar and an incredible number of rooms. It is ideally located in the historic part of Visby. The breakfasts are excellent and tasty.

There should be no mold in the shower. And the toilet waste in the middle of the room, right in the bedroom of room 161, is the sad story of this room.

Nice rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast, fantastic location in town.

The carpets in the halls, on the steps, etc are really in bad shape. They need to be replaced, not only are they really worn but they are stained.

Location, interiors, swimming pool and sauna, mini bar (prices as well), Rituals cosmetics, breakfast choice (porridge, salmon, fruits etc), staff. Almost everything! No regrets!

Some minor things to be improved during breakfast: porridge and eggs were cold (just why?), coffee mugs were without handles (is it too expensive to buy normal mugs???). I mean all stay in Gotland in October is about staying calm, don’t going into worry mode but here are mugs with hot coffee without hands on breakfast…

A really nice hotel with great location in a city centre. Roms are clean and nice furnished. We also had a nice view. Nice breakfast.

We had to change 3 elevators to come to the room with a baby in a pram. We were not informed at the reception that we can enter the hotel from the back side to avoid carrying the pram to the reception. There is extra cost for the spa in the hotel.

In my opinion there is room for improvement. Bread seems to be in short supply. The iron pots with scambled eggs, hard fried bacon, baked beans and sausages are dated and heavy and should be refilled regularily. no fried eggs? Colder inside than outside with nice cat.

My partner phoned 3 weeks in advance to request a room over-loooking the sea with twin beds. the first room offered looked like a bunker. We were grateful for the upgrade to room 567 on 7th floor overlooking the harbor on return from Fåro.
