Hotel Victoria

The Hotel Victoria is a very pleasant, attractive, traditional hotel which is very conveniently situated opposite Brig railway stations but it is not noisy because of that. The staff are very friendly, helpful and speak excellent English. I was very pleased with my room which was spacious and had all the facilities I needed. The breakfast is really excellent, very tasty and plentiful and takes place in a very pleasant room. The cost of breakfast is also included in the price of one’s room. The Hotel Victoria restaurant is also excellent, has a good variety of meals available at very reasonable prices and the restaurant staff are also very friendly. The Hotel Victoria is an enjoyable place to stay and has a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere and it is also very good value for money.

My room was spacious, had all the facilities I needed and the bed was comfortable. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English. There was a tasty and plentiful variety of food and drink available for breakfast in the pleasant breakfast room. There was an excellent restaurant attached to the hotel with a good selection of food and drink available which was very reasonably priced. As someone who travels by train, the Hotel Victoria was very convenient indeed for Brig main railway station and Brig Matterhorn Gotthard Railway station - they were both right outside the hotel.

I can’t think of anything which could have been better. The Hotel Victoria had everything I needed to make my stay agreeable.

The room was of great size, really clean and with a small terrace. The bathroom is also very spacious. Really well situated and with fantastic windows as, even if we had a room in front of the train station, no noise was filtered. The breakfast is very nice. I asked for lactose-free milk and they had prepared it in advance without any problem. Perfect location and very good quality-price ratio.

No looked room available for leaving the luggage once the check-out is done. It didn't bother us as they allowed to leave the luggage in another area of the hotel.

Just across the road from the railway station. Easy walk into town centre . Very close to supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and bars. The owner gave us great information about a day trip to Domodossola over the Simplon Pass by bus for the Saturday market and return via rail. Fantastic trip that we wouldn't have known about if he hadn't mentioned it.

With quite a few stairs to access the hotel it is unsuitable for people with mobility problems.

Located right at the entrance of Brig Station! Super good location love it! The breakfast provided had a good variety and options! Did not know it was their festive season so the celebration carried on till 4am in the morning we had trouble sleeping due to the noise but everything else is great! When I was booking I thought I had paid what I saw on the booking.com website but NO I needed to pay at the hotel itself which led to higher conversion rates by bank! I was expecting $700+ bill instead I got $800+ bill (SGD)

Aircon. I think because it was the winter so there was only heater it got pretty stuffy we couldn’t open the window since there were bands going offf in the middle of the night and our jet lagged toddler really needed her sleep

I stayed in this hotel for one night while travelling by train from the UK to Italy (avoiding flying for environmental reasons). It is directly opposite the train station and ideal for anyone who needs a stopover on such a journey. (It would probably also be very nice to stay here if having a holiday, but I cannot comment on that.) My room was very comfortable and I had the added luxury of having a balcony with a nice view. Breakfast was good.

Conveniently across the train station. Good for making our way to Zermatt in the morning. Friendly reception. Fan is provided in room.

Interior has seen better days but they try their best. I sprained my ankle while hiking and found the two flight of steps at the hotel entrance difficult. Luckily there is an elevator at the lobby to the rooms. Folks w/ walking difficulties may need to reconsider. Noisy motorbikes at night and early morning can be heard in the background.

The location was perfect for me, overlooking the station. My room was clean and comfortable. I particularly enjoyed my breakfast, although not a great eater, it was most enjoyable. At the suggestion of a waitress, I ate out on the balcony, which overlooked the station square and watched the morning comings and goings as I ate.

The lighting in my room, and in the bathroom in particular could have been improved. I would really have liked it to have been a lot brighter.

Tthis is a traditional swiss period hotel not ordered from a corporate textbook. My front room had a balcony overlooking the station square and tram/narrow gauge railway. This added colour but no noise. Best night's sleep i have had in a long time. Excellent continental breakfast. Lots of choice. The owner showed me how to make my swiss mobile charger work for my phone. Yes, I know it sounds simple but I could not get it to do so. Charming person on reception in the morning. I would not look anywhere else if I was stopping in Brig again. Be warned this is not a slick business hotel that could be anywhere in the world, it is a clean, comfortable, functional, helpful example of genuine Swiss hospitality.

Just one or two finishing touches such as a dab of paint on the bathroom radiator but that is being a bit picky. The instant hot water with decent pressure was far more important.

I believe he was the manager on reception but he was everywhere , really on it , up and down lifts , helping breakfast, checking customers out , checking house keeping . Breakfast was lovely , continental, warm hard eggs , toaster if wish for bread . Literally walk over road from station , few minutes walk to Migros supermarket but be warned they close early . Fantastic krisma kerbab/burger/ salads, eat in or takeaway, great value , 5 min walk .

Nothing really , they have a restaurant for evening meal , poorly advertised.
