The New Midi

The location was great, right near the water. We dropped off our bags and some guests, then I parked in Place de Cornavin, which was a little pricey but very convenient. Traffic was very slow in Geneva, it took a surprisingly long time to reach the hotel from the airport.

Pretty limited space to put your clothes in the room, I think they're more geared up to short stay business guests not holiday makers; we were only there two days but needed to unpack our week's clothes and repack when we left. Breakfast was expensive, we had it one morning and it was OK but not great enough to have it twice. We were placed near the lift on the 4th floor, which I'd usually dislike but it was very quiet and I wasn't bothered at all.

The staff were really wonderful at The New Midi, even letting me check in much earlier than the check-in time, as I had arrived earlier in the morning. The room was a great size for one person and the bed was very comfortable. The shades did a wonderful job of darkening the room and the street below was a quiet one, allowing for a great combination of a wonderful night's rest. The location of the hotel is absolutely wonderful! The breakfast was also very good, although I didn't realize at the time that it wasn't included in the price of the room.

The lighting in the room, specifically in the bedroom part of the room, wasn't the best. Without the light from the window, it was rather dark in there.

the location is excellent. We walked around the lake. The room and the bed very comfortable. We didn't try the breakfast because we didn't see the offer online in the selection of the rooms. the staff immediately provided us the transportation free pass. The inner design is revolutionary, using art everywhere. This give a touch of class to the place. It's a cozy place. I will come back there.

They need to promote more the breakfast option in the selection online. This is not well promoted. Besides they can announce that the water at the tap is safe. Drinking water is not enough at the room.

The staff was very helpful and friendly, the room was comfortable and clean. The location was really great - right next to the river and tons to eat and drink within walking distance. The pros very much out weighed the very minor cons.

The only thing that could've been improved was that the shower in our room was slow to drain, so you ended up standing in a tub full of water by the end. And the AC worked but it never really got as cool as you'd want it for sleeping (we were there during a heat wave though, so it's understandable). Overall, nothing bad enough to keep me from staying again.

It was a finding because of the money spent staying in such a convenient hotel just on the lake shore. The staff was polite and helpful. The room was small but convenient just for one night stay. I was unhappy that didn't had the chance to use it more because of the lack of vacant room. The decoration of the hotel and the sculptures inside are a little bit hm peculiar, but not a problem at all. The main pro is the value for the money in such an expensive city like Geneva.

The room was clean and air conditioned (very needed this weekend..!) and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was great, lots of free toiletries and a powerful shower and hairdryer. The location literally couldn't be better, so close to the train station but also right by the bridge across the lake. Would stay again 🙌🏻

The hotel is centrally located, two steps away from the lake, but hidden away from the crowds of tourists. It's quiet, very convenient for a recharging sleep. Staff are very gentle.

The working area has no desk lamp, which makes it impossible to work in the evening. The room has no tea kettle (only a coffee machine in the room).

The room was really great, with a lot of space and confort, the location is perfect, 10 minutes walk from the central station. Breakfast was a little bit to expensive, but with a lot of options.

Cheaper breakfast, or something displaying the prices of breakfast. I did think it was included in my hotel room price.

Breakfast was basic 😕 No kettle to make tea but there's coffe maker. 2nd day ,I found my nasal spray ( new).was damaged by using a pin 📌 . I felt unsafe and the door has no chain to lock it.

The location is perfect, very central and close to everything (parks, restaurant, bus/tram/train, shops). The room was small but comfortable.

furniture a bit old, smells old. Walls very thin, you can hear other people flushing their toilets, having sex, walking in their room, talking.
