Roosevelt Resort Park

We loved having a full sized fridge, all the basic cooking utensiles we needed, and a very comfortable living area. The Resort is old but that add to the charm of the place. It reminded me of being on a road trip with my parents when I was little. In spite of being dated, our cabin was very clean and enjoyable. We were there for hiking and photography so didn't appreciate the convenience to the lake, but there was plenty of room to park your boat trailer if you had one.

We had a little issue with the air conditioner -- we didn't need it and it was still quite cool at night, but we couldn't figure out how to turn it off. Fortunately there was an extra blanket!

The location is great, in the middle of a beautiful national park. The location of the hotel itself is nothing all that special, but no problems. The duck pond is nice. It is pet friendly. The staff were friendly.

Check in time is early. The office was closed, but they took care of me. It takes a fair amount of time getting in and out. The map in booking.com didn't have any scale to it, and it was surprisingly far from central Phoenix, about an hour's drive. It was a pretty drive, though. The restaurant on site was not open a lot, and I had to drive to get food.

Okay old-time motel setup --- but, with their renovation bringing in new furniture, beds, TV's and okay bathrooms, my stay was pleasant...plus, the rear setting of sunsets over a catch & release pond, very nice!!!...PJS Gotta say, the manager of the bar & grill next door, Lonnie, did me a tremendous favor; and, the burger & fries was excellent!!! Thank U Lonnie...PJS

It was a great property

Wifi did not work in room at all had to go outside to text family, did not have service so had to text on wifi. First night there next door had a dog and they left that dog did not stop barking until they got back hours later there was no clear idea what we should do, i know this is the owners fault not really property but it was at night early hours but still was hours of barking.

We stay here often; it is close to the lake and provides for a comfortable stay for family and friends. We love the great service from the Stagecoach Restaurant and Bar just next door, Segan, the owner goes above and beyond to make sure everything is handled.

Some of the guests could not link to the internet unless they were outside close to the office, maybe need WIFI boosters.

Location. Close to Roosevelt Lake. Setting was quiet and peaceful. Will stay here again. Glad the restaurant was open. Not many options for eating.

The grounds could use a little more upkeep. Flowers or some other landscaping. Looks like improvements are being made.

one of the locks didn’t work. our hairdryer was broken and the office is only staffed for a couple of hours so wasn’t able to get a replacement.

Room was clean and very large. Great view in back. Had my Mastiff with me, and there was lots of outdoor space for her to do her business. Very friendly bar and grill next door with delicious burger.

We Loved The room, The view, The staff, The food and food prices were excellent. The location. The dogs. Very clean. We'll definitely stay again. We had a perfect weekend at the Lake.

The plastic under the sheets. But, we understand it's for cleanliness. The shower water pressure made it hard to wash my hair and the water never really got hot. Warm at best. Also, there should be a flat fee for pets. Two dogs shouldnt cost $40. $20 a piece is a little steep for the working man who happened to own two dogs. That policy should be revisited.

This place is dedicated to those who enjoy the simplicity of the true peaceful countryside. Here, no hightech, no cellphone service (but the WIFI works, slowly), and no 24/24 staff . we rent a cabin and for all 4 of us, it was just what we were expecting : a real kitchen to cook, enough space to share with a large living room, a direct access to the pond and ducks and geese buddies ... we even saw other clients fishing! the location, far from the civilization but close to the wild (Tonto National Forest) is just perfect to relax. so forget the sanitized 5 stars hotels and enjoy!

We would have appreciated to get an additional pad on the Sofa mattress (we could feel the metallic bed base). The first night, the blankets provided were not sufficient so we had to request 3 more for the 2nd night (can be chilly there). 2 more chairs in the kitchen would allow to accommodate all 4 of us around the table. Having a broom would be useful as we took some hiking dust in with us ...
