Holiday Inn Express Sedona - Oak Creek, an IHG Hotel

The staff helped me resolve booking.coms mistake in my reservation process. They Hotel had no idea I was arriving or that I had paid for a three nights stay The breakfast was decent. The dining area was well cleaned regularly. The food was kept full and warm. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Overall the facility was kept clean and orderly.

I did not like that Booking.com had not notified the Hotel of my three nights stay and the Hotel had not received any of my payment from Booking.com. My only complaint about the hotel is that it was a little noisy, but that is par for the course in most hotels.

First & foremost the staff was very friendly and absolutely pleasant. They were super nice they put us in a room with the red rocks view. it was nice to wake up every morning to beautiful scenery. VERY clean & modern rooms. I was happy to find a safe in the cabinet. The rooms were cleaned on DAILY basis which is not the case during and after the pandemic! I have stayed in hotels where I begged them to clean my room! so that was a huge plus! There is a water fountain to fill ur water bottles in the lobby. We utilized it on daily basis. The HOT TUB was a huge plus! it washed away our aches after long day of hiking. The location was close to some popular hikes & trails like Bell Rock & Cathedral Rock. Walking distance to gas stations, shops, coffee shops, and restaurants. Short car ride to downtown Sedona. We enjoyed our stay and the hotel rate was significantly less expensive that majority of the other hotels/airbnb we looked at. So overall, good value & you get what you pay for. It was our first time in Arizona and if we ever come back, will definitely stay here!

Breakfast was subpar in my humble opinion HOWEVER Variety of options are available. I stuck to bagels and cream cheese and thats what I would have wanted anyways!

The front desk gentleman was super! He was nice, friendly, and explained everything about the area and hotel. Even though we arrived on a day with a full capacity turn-over and short staffed, he kept his composure and was the sweetest and apologetic to everybody waiting in line to check in. We were in town for hiking. The room was very basic BUT was updated and clean. The beds were very comfortable and the overall room was cozy and cute. We usually stay with the Marriot but for hiking this was perfect! We came back to our rooms dusted in red dirt from the all day hiking we did so we were not to afraid we might ruin a perfect room with red dust. With that said, the rooms were very clean when we arrived. Every morning we enjoyed a nice free breakfast that included pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, cold cereal, pre-packaged pastries, fresh fruit, and juices. This was perfect for what we needed.

Excellent view of the canyons if you got a room In the very back of the property. Besides what I didn’t like the room was very nice and comfortable, would stay again.

The tub had a massive crack in the flooring which they tried to seal and it made the tub very slippery, almost fell getting into the shower. They had pre filled bottles of shampoo, shower gel, conditioner etc and was locked in the shower. I had no conditioner.

I appreciate that the room was clean, the ac was on, and the room was cool. The staff were great!! We got to the hotel super early, but we were given a parking pass so we could keep the car on the property as we walked around. We were able to check in a little early and freshen up before shopping and dinner. This was a great mom and daughter trip. We want to make this at least an annual trip!!

This hotel wasn't bad. I'm really picky when it comes to mattresses. I prefer a bed a little softer than the average hotel bed. I'm thankful, though, I didn't have to use all the extra pillows to lay on for added softness and comfort. My onion is that the shower needs a slip resistant bottom in the tub. I almost fell on my fat butt, and that wouldn't have pretty. I might just be nitpicking, but hand soap wasn't provided so we had to use the body wash from the shower every time we used the restroom.

It was my birthday and they upgraded me to a two bedroom suite facing the incredible view of the mountains. Their breakfast is great and well organized! Everything was extremely clean! The distance to the city by car was worth it because every day we drove through a scene view until we reached Sedona's main street (and it's not that far) It was worth the stay!

I honestly have nothing to complain

I have stayed at HI Express in other locations, and I was very satisfied with Holiday Inn Express Sedona. It did not disappoint: very courteous efficient staff, excellent free breakfast in a very bright and clean breakfast room, new room look and conveniences with a nice view and best of all, the softest beds!

The property is in a great spot as the views are unobstructed but one doesnt have to deal with the crowds and traffic even though it is a very short drive from the actual Sedona tourist centre. Breakfast is amply stocked. The property is clean and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

No obvious issues with the property.

Great hotel with great staff. Very friendly and accommodating. Great breakfast. Located in a great area with places to eat close by and no traffic congestion. Great place to stay if you want a quieter, less busy experience in Sedona. Quick scenic drive to more shopping and restaurants. Great hiking close by. Beds were so comfy!

There was nothing we didn't like about this hotel.

The property is located in a very nice location. Gas station nearby, as well as various restaurants and shops; not to mention a good view of the landscape around it (especially considering that it is only two story). The staff was very friendly and helpful immediately upon our arrival. Luckily enough, my family was able to check-in a little early and settle down. That provided us enough time to throw our kids into the perfectly warmed pool. The room was equipped with everything my family needed; plenty of towels, pillows, trash cans, and a little single serve kuerig coffee machine...

Only two things stuck out like a sore thumb: one, the elevator needs some maintenance done ASAP. It’s loud clanking led my family to prepare for a short fall and a quick impact (thank goodness it’s only two stories). I spoke with the front desk and they informed me that they already scheduled a repair service within the coming days. And two, what happened to the shower mat?...COVID did. Thanks to the vid, there was no shower mat in our bath tub. My children, and later I, both demonstrated why those are vital to our safety while inside those tubs; unless of course the tub itself is resurfaced inside. I informed the front desk about this and was given the reason as well as an apology. Next time we will ask before trying to clean up.
