Stay Wise Inns of Montrose

Excellent customer service at check-in. Several of our requests were granted with smiles and no fuss by Emily. The room was spacious, clean, and very quiet (upstairs on the back side with window open), the bed and pillows very comfortable. Breakfast selection was good, especially the fresh omelet made right then for you. The location was perfect for our activities of golf and bowling. Many restaurants and markets within a minutes drive. Would definitely stay here whenever we're in Montrose. Highly recommend.

My husband had to lug the golf clubs up to the second floor. No elevator.

Very friendly staff welcomed us in a clean place and gave us a spacious room. Plenty of parking available in front. The price was very good, especially in comparison with the other hotels in Montrose. The city has a lack of good hotels that are either too expensive or very sketchy. The Stay Wise Inn keeps a good balance here.

Breakfast was not so great, the omelets are cooked for you, but anything you put on it (for example cheese, sour cream etc) is in an uncooled tray and we are not sure whether or not they are put into a fridge after breakfast time is over. The furniture and bathrooms are a bit dated and need some refreshening.

Staff was nice, property was very clean and the hotel was quiet. My unit had an amazing jacuzzi tub that made the stay even better.

The property was very clean but could use a little love. The carpet in my unit was buckled and the outlets were very loose in the wall. I did witness multiple people struggling with luggage going upstairs as there is not an elevator on the property. Also be aware that they place a $250 hold when you check in which was not disclosed at booking. Not a big deal for me but could be for other travelers.

This is by far tebest value hotel we have stayed at in Montrose. We have family there so we visit pretty frequently and the Stay Wise Inn far exceed our expectations. The price was fantastic and the room was nice, comfortable and clean. The entire hotel it actually a lot nicer than we expected. The breakfast was not all that impressive (hot omlet bar and waffles, bagels and cereal pretty much) but again, for the value we are not even mad. This will be our go to from now on!

I was really dissappointed that we couldn't get a room on the ground floor and there was no elevator. I have COPD and climbing the stairs was very difficult. We reserved a king size bed and they didn't have any on the ground floor. I didn't think to ask if they had any double queens or even one queen bed, which would have make it preferable tp being on the second floor.

I have been to Montrose for 2-4 nights each year, for many years. In recent years, StayWise has been my 'go to' motel. The rate has been competitive or better than others. The facility is reasonably modern. The room is quiet at night.

My suggestions are minor. This year, the breakfast was a bit weak - no yogurt, no protein - but they did have fresh-made omelets. The internet, like in many motels, would slow way down between maybe 7-9PM when many people tried to use. The outdoor benches, where some go to smoke, are directly beside the front entrance. But I knew most of these in advance, and still considered StayWise to be the best choice for me in Montrose.

The hotel is pretty nice with a fairly large room that was very clean and had a table, chair and a sofa. Everything was comfortable and quiet. There is an indoor swimming pool as well which is always nice. Breakfast is very simple and you get an omelet made to order if you want to.

Very simple breakfast, a few more options would always be nice, like offering some fresh fruit. A lot of things look old and worn down (carpets, furniture), but at least it was clean.

Especially appreciated the obvious work ethic and commitment of the staff. We saw them happily filling in for whatever seemed to be needed.

Omelets are a very nice touch, and the gal doing them was amazing in keeping track of who had and hadn’t even asked if they wanted one, but after several days, a few more protein item options would be appreciated. Even just hard boiled eggs?

Best hotel in Montrose for the money. Pool, hot tub, nice carpets and comfortable beds. The breakfast is amazing and the breakfast ladies are fabulous. The night clerk Friday night saved the stay for me. He was friendly and accommodating. A totally different experience from the previous nights. Along with the breakfast ladies, he made a good team. I would have stayed for my entire trip except that you wouldn't allow me to stay that long.

The night guy Tuesday when I called and he was there Wed and Thursday nights. Very unpleasant and unwelcoming. Told me to book online when I called in Tuesday. Was rude and made me feel like he didn't want me there on Wed at check in. Totally ignored me Thursday night when I wanted to get into the pool. With other guests, we dubbed him the pool nazi. He really shouldn't be in hospitality.

The price was just right. And I liked the airport adjacent location, love the decor (!🦌💜) and the complimentary breakfast. Excellent coffee! 🤗💜☕😋 And chilled water in your gorgeous lobby is always a nice touch.👍

Unfortunately my tv was broken, (but I just watched the news on my iPad with the complimentary wifi), the bed mattress was a little harder than most hotel beds, and the hotel no longer provided complimentary airport shuttle service. Also seem to recall fresh fruit available last time? 🤔🍎🍊🍏
