Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Sterling, an IHG Hotel

Nice, clean property but a few problems.

They could not find my reservation for 2 rooms, only one. So, we were all put in one queen suite as they were fully booked. I had their email confirming the 2 rooms. Also, took my dogs for a walk on their path behind hotel where the grass along walk had picker plants. My toy poodle was embedded with approximately 50 pickers on his fur. It was a horror removing them. There should be a warning about them.

conveniently located off the highway and close to restaurants and shops. newer facility and well kept. nice pool for the kids to play and hot tub for the adults to unwind. best breakfast we’ve had at a hotel in a long time. the breakfast attendants were very hospitable and worked diligently to keep all breakfast items fully stocked.

the bathtubs were a bit slick and would be safer with a slip resistant coating added.

The breakfast buffet was great, good options. Bathroom were very nice. It was very clean. And most of the staff was very nice and friendly.

The kid that worked the night desk when I checked in was very rude and gave no help at all. I asked ahead of time for parking for my pickup and small trailer. Was any and didn't offer any assistance. Also, the thermostat and ac was not working the first night. But when told they fixed the problem and worked fine. This could have happened to anyone, not really blaming anyone or the hotel. Sometimes happens.

Easy access, great helpful staff, CLEAN, pool, work out room.

To expensive for the location! But I didn't want bed bugs and lousy service! But it was more than double what other Hotels in the area charged. Steeling is not so pretty this time if year.

It met our accommodations and breakfast was very good. The biscuits and gravy were bomb!

That I was unable to obtain a receipt at check out. Other than that everything was excellent.

A good breakfast including crisp bacon saved us money having to go somewhere for breakfast. Pillowcases were embroidered with soft or firm for the pillow firmness. An extra touch. Great ice maker which we used for small ice chest on the go during the day and on my sprained knee. Sometimes a good ice machine can be taken for granted. Close to Sterling Lake where we rented a boat and husband caught a big fish.

Clean comfortable bed and great location. Staff moved us when a family of 14 came and made lots of noise, very accommodating and professional.

Noise from family for 3 hours,

it is as always nice stay at Holliday Inn. But it was double queen room with one large towel. so we had to request for some towels and go get them by ourselves because there was only one attendant(who was a nice guy). and carpet in one spot smelled like puke.

good breakfast, comfy beds.

I loved the lounger in the room to relax on. It was unique and very comfortable. The staff and breakfast exceeded my expectations! I was very happy with the stay.

I didn't know this place was going to be so impressive! Everything looked brand new. The room was so sanitary, and well-designed for comfort. I was most impressed with the indoor pool and hot tub. You have to go to front desk for the key, which keeps out the hoi polloi. The hot tub erased the hours of wear and tear my body had sustained while driving the width of Nebraska. The pool was cool but invigorating. Breakfast includes eggs cooked to your specification. Staff everywhere was friendly and professional. Plus this Inn is right off the freeway, yet very quiet.

i liked every single thing about this property. i highly recommend it to any weary travelers passing through. My stay fortified me for the upcoming day of hell driving.
